My Summary
About Me
I am a kind, caring, and bubbly person and I pride myself in being reliable and trustworthy as well as genuine, thoughtful, and flexible!
I have been in childcare from 2004 when I joined a montesorri nursery for 4 years. I then went on to become a nanny for another 4 years and then having my own child eventually led me to childminding.
I have my own sons, born October 2010, and Feb 2020, and daughters born Dec 2019 and April 2024, so I have extensive knowledge and experience with newborns onwards.
Having my own children has really increased my understanding of how hard, and important, it is to find someone you trust enough to look after your child, and to find that crucial balance between work and home life. And that’s where I come in!
I offer a home from home environment for your children. I have lots of toys, games, activities and resources to support the children through their early learning, and to make sure they have fun! We have a dedicated playroom, with enclosed garden attached.
We have two lovely mother and daughter springer spaniels which we have had from 8 weeks and birth (we had a litter of 8 puppies which was hugely exciting for the children), who have never known life without lots of children around - however, as tolerant as they are, I would never leave them alone with the children.
I follow the EYFS to ensure the children are fulfilling their potential, always enjoying activites and getting the best possible care. It is really important that I work closely with you, and any other settings your child attends to ensure we are all providing your child with consistency and support in their early learning lives.
I absolutely love working with children, they are such a joy to be around and give me great job satisfaction. I enjoy taking them on lots of outings, to toddler groups, garden centres, pet handling sessions, farms, fruit picking, the library, parks and walks, as well as doing activities at home such as messy play, role play, puzzles and reading books, to name a few!
I have a really great network of other childminders in the area too, so all the children make lots of friends who often become life long friends!
I have plenty of great references from families I have worked with, from babysitting, after school, or full time care.
I am a driver, with a full, clean driving licence and my own car. I am also OFSTED registered and dbs checked, my partner is also dbs checked too of course.
As part of our adult childminding group we also go to quite a few training courses to keep us up to date, and fresh in our practice, as well as our own monthly meetings.
Please get in contact if you think I may be able to help you, or would like any more information :)
My Experience
I have been in childcare since 2004
I spent 4 years in a Montessori Day Nursery where I gained my NVQ's level 2 and 3, along with basic Montessori training. I looked after children from 6 weeks to 5 years. I was also the group leader of the baby room for two years and was trusted to look after the nursery whilst the managers were away.
I then spent over 4 years being a Nanny, looking after children from newborn - 12 years old.
I have now been child minding since 2013, and have been a Mummy since 2010 :)
Before going into childcare I went to Farnham College, doing A levels.
I have also been doing after school work for children up to 12 years old.
I have a great network of other Nannies, Mums, and childminders who have children of all ages, from newborn upwards so I can offer a great social circle for the children.
Please message me if I have missed anything, or if you have any questions what so ever and to talk further

My little girl started with Kim when she was 9 months old after a rough start at nursery. We moved her to a childminding setting, and within 2 days she was holding her arms out to Kim in the mornings and waving bye bye to mummy without a second thought.
Francesca has come on leaps and bounds in Kimberly's care, who regularly takes her and the other children out to new and exciting places. I love Francesca being out and about and learning through play, and this is something Kim does amazingly well. She has now learned 3 new words (she's 1) and actions to songs.
Also a fussy eater when she started, she now comes home and will try ANYTHING I put in front of her. She loves Kim, and I lovingly refer to her as mum 2! She's been my saviour on many an occasion with routine suggestions catered to Chess' individual needs and as a first time parent is always there to answer my late night texts and worries!
The only reason for Chessie leaving Kim's care is my decision to take a "sabbatical" from work. In 6-12 months when I want to return to work Kim will be our first choice for childcare.
Not just a childminder- a wonderful friend and second-to-none childcare provider who showers our little girl with love, positive reinforcement and stimulating activities for her to learn through play.
I would recommend Kim without a moment's hesitation, and would be happy to speak to prospective parents with her permission.
Thank you Kim/Mum 2 for everything xxx
