My Philosophy:
I believe that all children should feel safe, secure and respected within a rich and quality learning environment, with emphasis placed on the fostering of respectful, reciprocal, responsive, relationships (secure attachment) between educator and child. I believe in equitable learning opportunities for all children that caters to the individual within their zone of proximal development, and want to empower children to reach their full potential and be the best version of themselves they can be. I believe children learn through self-initiated free play, active exploration of the environment and their relationships with people, places, and things. I seek to guide and support children in their learning, extending their interests through the provision of meaningful learning experiences and also value the goals/aspirations/contributions of families/wh?nau in regard to their child’s learning. I value and respect cultural diversity and believe it is important that all children feel secure in boundaries and routines and that behaviour should be guided in a positive and consistent manner so as to promote and support holistic development.
I look forward to meeting you and your family and am also happy to assist with any light housework duties that need doing as well ?
My Experience
I am 21 years old and have babysat/nannied for many years. I have extensive experience caring for a range of ages from newborns to teens, twins, diabetics, children with autism & have also had experience as a live-in nanny in both New Zealand and the United Kingdom. I have plenty of lovely written references from families I have worked for over the past 7 years who are happy to offer verbal references for me too.
In 2018 I graduated with a NZ Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care Level 5 and was honoured to also receive two additional certificates of excellence along with my qualification.
For the last three years I have worked as a qualified swim school teacher, lifeguard & receptionist at AUT Millennium in Auckland whilst nannying also; in between I happily accepted any additional/casual babysitting/nanny work and loved every moment.
I hold a full drivers license, a clean police record, and a current first aid certificate which I renew every two years.

My Qualifications
In 2018 I studied at the Ashton Warner Nanny Academy and graduated with a NZ Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care Level 5.
Course details: A comprehensive course, providing support and education for students interested in a career working with children (specifically as a professional nanny or early childhood educator) The full-year programme includes both theoretical and practical learning and plenty of hands on experience through a variety of 4 placements throughout the course of the year. The course content covers infant care, human development, Te Whariki (NZ Early Childhood Curriculum), learning through play, professional practice, communication, health, food and nutrition, first aid, self defence, water safety, and early childhood education.
My Availability
I am currently a live-in nanny to three beautiful children in central London. I would be very happy to pick up extra work in between my commitments to the family I currently work for e.g. babysitting when/where needed if I am available.
