I am Megan, I’m 23 years old and I am based in Shaw and Crompton. I am outgoing, organised, friendly and well motivated.
I have graduated with a BA Hons in children, school and families. I am currently training to become a primary teacher with SEND.
I have a lot of experience working with children, in primary schools of all ages. In addition to this, I have done a lot of 1:1 work with SEN children, and worked in a SEND school meaning i am able to work with children of any age as well as SEN children.
As a child, I was in the care system, and I was adopted when I was 7. I understand how difficult this can be on children, therefore if any parent/ guardian is struggling with helping their child/children in this situation I would be thrilled to help. This is why I have decided to go into the childcare sector, as I want to be able to assist to give children the best start in their lives.
My Experience
I have worked in multiple different schools, as I am currently employed in a SEND school. I have done 1:1 work, been a teaching assistant, and I have also Been the leader of a church group called “Martins”. Here I created activities, we went on trips with the children which was very enjoyable. Additionally, I have taught a year 2 and a year 6 class, preparing for SATs, planning trips and ensuring their learning is as fun as possible. With all of my experience, I believe this has given me a much better understanding of children and how I am able to help them the best that I can.
My Qualifications
I have achieved 8 GCSE's grades A-C . 2 A- Levels, one being health and social care. I have a BA Hons degree in children, school and families. I am training to be a primary school teacher, I have completed training in safeguarding and first aid.
