About Me
We are a purpose built childminding setting in Old Woking with a strong Montessori emphasis.
We take children from birth to 12 years+ and are open 49 weeks of the year.
Both you and your child will be welcomed into a trusting, nurturing, well organised and relaxing atmosphere. Our setting is equipped with a wide range of learning resources which will meet the needs of all the children in our care.
The environment is arranged to actively engage and intrigue the mind of the child allowing them to access resources as and when they need them, creating an enabling environment for the children as they learn through their play and develop their critical thinking skills in their natural environment.
Where possible we choose natural equipment such as wooden toys and real life resources.
My Experience
I have worked with children for 20 years. I studied at Brooklands College gaining my NNEB diploma in Nursery Nursing. My first job was in a nursery setting as a nursery nurse. Throughout the years I have worked with all ages from 3 months to 5 years progressing to managing a nursery. My most recent job was in a Montessori nursery where I worked for 12 years and gained my level 4 and Montessori diploma there.
I have loved working with all ages and it has been so rewarding watching the children develop and become independent little people and ready for the next chapter at school.
I am married with two children, my eldest was born in 2011 and my youngest was born in 2014. This has been the most amazing journey becoming a mum and I love every minute.
Becoming a childminder has enabled me to still be there for my children but also continue with my career, which I love very much.
I have lived in Woking all my life and my children now attend the school I went too as a child. We have fantastic parks, two of which are walking distance. There is also a leisure centre in walking distance and Woking town centre which has a great library that does rhyme time and has a great book area for children.
I enjoy exploring outdoors with my children, we are very lucky to live near so many places that children can run free and get lots of fresh air. We have national trust passes so lots of exciting adventures to be had.
