About Me
My name is Sherry, i live in Campsall with my husband Steve and our 3 daughters Alyssa (19 years), Kaytlin (16 years) and Evelyn (10 years). We have a very lovable puppy who loves and protects all children in my care.
I have 19 years of experience with my own children and like the children I care for feel like they are part of the family.
I am a fully ofsted registered childminder and provide a setting in which children are happy, safe and are encouraged to develop skills and become their own individuals. I work in partnership with parents to establish a good foundation to set them up to be successful in later life. I offer a home from home environment and provide care for children as i would my own children. I registered it 2020 and recently had my first graded inspection. My report can be found on the ofsted website by searching my ofsted number 2546922. AlI people aged over 16 years who live in my household have an enhanced DBS check. I am fully paediatric first aid trained and are up to date with all relevant safeguarding training. I deliver the EYFS to the children including local visits to parks, playgroups, play areas. I also meet with other local childminders to enable the children to mix with other children. I hold a level 2 food hygiene certificate.
I have 3 years experience of childminding on my own and love every minute of my job. The children grow and learn from play in a loving, stable environment.
My Experience
I qualified as a level 3 practitioner back in 2004 before I had my own 3 children. I became a childminder`s assistant in 2018 in which I did for 18 months before deciding to set up as a childminder myself. I have completed all relevant qualifications to support and help develop children's skills, I'm up to date with the new revised EYFS and provide activities to support each area of development. I have been working as a childminder since February 2020 and recently had my graded inspection In which I received a good grade.

Sherry had my daughter from 10 months old and she made it the easiest transition for my little girl. Sherry creates the perfect home from home environment meaning my little girl took no time at all to adjust to her new surroundings. After joining Sherry my daughter came on leaps and bounds making friends with the older children and beginning to communicate and growing in confidence everyday! Couldn’t thank her enough for the level of care she provided my baby, as a first time mum I so so worried to leave my little girl but Sherry made us both feel very comfortable very quickly.

Sherry is an absolutely amazing person and not just as a child minder, I could not be more happy for having sherry as my sons child minder she has had him since 9 months old and is turning 4 shortly. My little boy absolutely adores her she is just amazing dont know how she comes up with all her craft ideas but the little ones are always busy getting stuck in. Love it when she sends me pictures of there day and what they have been upto it brightens my day at work knowing my little boy is happy 😊
She loves my little boy as if he was her own and it is not just a job to her its her livelihood she loves everyone one of the children she cares for in her job.
I would definitely recommend sherry to anyone as a childminder she is just amazing and makes me feel very at ease when leaving my little boy cos he is so happy and excited to go

Sherry is a fantastic childminder she has 2 of my children ages 3 & 5 they got Monday to Friday, they are so happy with Sherry always come home telling us what they have been doing and learning. Sherry has great communication with us she will message us if it’s something we need to know straight away or she will have a conversation with us when we pick the girls up to tell us what they have eaten, been up too, if they have behaved ect. I’m 100% happy with Sherry childminding and would recommend her to anyone I’ve even already secured a slot for my baby to start in September!!
