About Me

I am originally from Estonia, although have lived permanently in the UK for the last 7 years now which I absolutely love! No matter where I've been living/working, I always had a side job as a nanny - either helped out during my days off, weekends or evenings. I was an Aupair for two years and I really miss these times. My previous job was in Higher Education (Recruitment Manager) which I enjoyed, although I feel like working with little children makes me so happy.

I am currently taking a career break to work out what to do and which way to go, so getting back into childcare feels like the right decision so far. I enjoy having little missions, going on adventures, cooking and making crafts. I also have a dog and he often joins me for long hikes and rainy walks in the countryside.

MY SUPERPOWERS:

Crafty - I love seeing the process/progress in it. Children are always so proud of themselves which is amazing. I love doing experiments and bringing a bit of excitement to our time spent together.

Outdoors explorer - as an Estonian, I spent lots of time outside exploring. I like walking everywhere, learning about nature and seeing how seasons change. Looking for little 'treasures' is one of my favourite things to do with children.

I am nurturing and caring - children have so many big feelings, so I want to make sure they get all the support they can to be able to understand this big world. I like taking time to understand their needs and build trust between us.
I'm very organised and also like to teach this to children as I believe it's a skill that everyone would have to have. Simply learning about tidying and organising is a skill for life!
