About Me
I have always wanted to work with children since I was young, I am the eldest of five children so I loved to help my mum look after my younger siblings which gave me a passion for working with children. I currently work in a nursery as the senior room manager of the baby unit. My job entails working closely alongside parents, constantly feeding back the development of their children each day and taking observations of the children that are linked to the EYFS so that the parent can clearly see what their child is learning and what stage they are at. Throughout the day I feed the children, change their nappies, provide them with fun and safe learning opportunities according to their development and build close bonds with both the children and the parents.
My Experience
I have been working in childcare for 11 years and have had experience with ages 3 months to 5 years and also with children with disabilities and learning difficulties. I have been working in a nursery for this period of time but have also had experience in schools before I started working at the nursery.
I also have a son who is almost 2 years old who has given me the greatest experience of all.
My Qualifications
Level 3 diploma in childcare.
Paediatric first aid. (For children)
First aid at work. (For adults)
Designated safeguarding lead training
Food hygiene
My Availability
I am looking for a Friday nanny job ideally around 8-5 but can be flexible. I would also be happy to do after school hours if not a full day.
I work at a nursery Monday-Thursday so Friday is the only day I can do.
I am available for babysitting Friday & Saturday evenings.
