Nobody really prepares you for motherhood. You can read all the literature out there and still find yourself not really knowing what to do.
A prime example of that is helping your baby to develop a sleep routine. The books make it sound so easy and nothing could be further from the truth. I had a baby that was getting so grumpy in the afternoons that I was wishing bedtime to come as quickly as possible. To think now that I wished time away with him seems implausible, but that was the reality until Miriam came along.
She transformed our lives and within a very short time we had a baby that slept through the night (every night) and napped three times a day. He was happy. We were happy. It meant the rest of the day was fun, exciting and productive.
As I near the end of my maternity leave I am so grateful for the last 4 months since Miriam’s stay. Harry has been so happy and so rested and that has made a massive difference to his development and our enjoyment of time with him.
People genuinely don’t believe it when I say he sleeps through the night every night but it’s true and it’s all down to Miriam. The only downside is that you won’t want her to leave!
Miriam was an absolute game changer for me. Oliver, while a very good natured boy, was waking up 2 or 3 times during the night and had sporadic naps in the day- the reason I asked for help was because I just knew he was ready to get in to a routine I just didn’t know how to start. Miriam’s first lesson was everything that happens in the night is down to the day and so we spent a full day together where we looked at food, routine and naps- she introduced some fab tips across the day, we moved him to his own room and within 2 days of her leaving I had a little boy that slept for 3 naps in the day and 12 hours at night with minimal fuss. To be honest I wish I had done this sooner but I’m so glad I took the step when I did- for my final part of maternity leave at home I get to sleep and enjoy the time I have with him.
Genuinely there is a difference to reading sleep training books vs someone coming in to your home and meeting your baby to help you decide on what works for them- so if you can I would highly recommend it.
If we are lucky enough to have a second baby I would ask for Miriam’s help at 3 months.
Thank you, you really have changed my entire maternity experience and I can’t thank you enough!!!
When my baby was only a few weeks old, I was struggling with breastfeeding, cracked nipples, baby blues, no sleep, baby won’t let me put her down to sleep…the list goes on. I was in tears and desperate when I found Miriam, who offered her time to talk to me over the phone and gave her time freely to chat me through the issues I had with my baby and gave me some valuation suggestions which I still use today. I never got to meet her as she was already booked up by someone else at the time, but I would not hesitate to recommend her based on our interactions as she showed kindness, generosity and lots of experience.
Miriam came to help us when my baby was 5 weeks old and stayed with us for 3 weeks. From the moment I met Miriam she was so friendly, warm and kind. In the few weeks she was with us she helped us establish a routine for our baby girl and helped to get her sleeping really well at night. She had so much great advice and really knows what she's talking about. Her help was invaluable! She was an absolute joy to have in our house - always so calm, patient, attentive and wonderful company. Miriam has a real passion for what she does, and that totally shines through in her work. She is dedicated, kind, knowledgable and always positive and enthusiastic and was so caring to our baby girl. We miss her already and would have loved for her to stay longer!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Miriam to anyone - she is simply amazing!! :-)
I was on the verge of giving up breastfeeding when Miriam came to the rescue, she observed and corrected my positioning right away which improved my babies latch tremendously. Miriam was so calm, positive and knowledgeable and I cannot thank her enough. My baby is now 4 and a half months and we are still going strong exclusively breastfeeding. Miriam also taught me the technique of swaddling which meant for a better nights sleep for all. Miriam’s help and support was invaluable to us and we cannot thank her enough. We would highly recommend Miriam for any feeding and sleep support.
