About Me
I believe it's important to follow the developmental needs of children and focus on a connection first and foremost teamed up with consistent boundaries. I also incorporate structured activities but tend to shift them depending on what each individual needs. I'm a compassionate, laid-back and kind person that adores working with children. I've lived in 4 different countries and have now settled in Exeter. I sing in a band and have several hobbies. I keep quite busy but also cherish down time. My adorable kids are 4 and 11.
My Experience
I have a variety of experience working with kids such as 14 months as a Nursery Practioner, being a mother of 2, one to one English language tutoring for a 7 year old, volunteering with a non-profit called Kids Vote, as well as being a qualified Kids Yoga Teacher. I’m also a vocalist/songwriter which means I'm often singing with the children. I also started a kids playgroup called Happy Monkeys whilst living in Greece, which was centered around using music and dance to engage with children. In addition to the above, having my own kids has enabled me to gain a significant amount of experience in childcare. The child developmental process is fascinating to me and I fully understand that being able to communicate well with them depending on their individual level is an essential quality to have. My Qualifications
Rainbow Kids Yoga instructor, Safeguarding, Updated DBS, Level 2, Level 2 food and hygiene, First Aid trained.
My Availability
It varies week by week because the father of my 2 children does 6 days on and 4 days of with his employer. I'm more than happy to travel if expenses are paid but unfortunately don't have a license. However, I'm very good with public transport.
