About Me
A lovely family of five based in South Hampstead, NW6 seek a warm, fun and proactive nanny with a positive attitude who is very confident in setting clear boundaries. You will be happy to foster good manners and discipline, be organised, take initiative with creative activities for the children and will be a great cook!
The boys are ages 2, 5 and 7 years old.
The role will be a mix of shared care with mum and sole charge. Mum isn’t currently working so will be around - you’ll need to be comfortable with this set up.
The 2 year old will start morning nursery in Sep locally. The 5 year old is at school locally. The 7 year old attends school in Regents Park (a shuttle ride to get there). Child related house management and running errands for the family will be required during those few hours in the morn before the little one finishes nursery at midday.
Days and hours are: Monday to Friday 55 hours a week. Hours will 7am to 6pm. Some occasional babysitting may be required. Someone local will be preferable.
Start Date: Beginning of September.
However, the family would be grateful if the nanny is able to work some days during the summer to settle in.
My Requirements
You’ll wake up the boys and make breakfast for them and get them ready to school and drop them off between 8am and 8:30am. The youngest needs to be picked up at lunchtime, he arrives home and has a nap.
In the afternoon, you’ll pickup the older boys and take them to clubs/playdates/ playground/ home and/or spend time with the little one. In the afternoon, you’ll usually split your time with mum, she would either be with the baby or take one or 2 of the older kids to clubs/friends. You’ll be a confident cook - making yummy fresh and healthy meals and snacks and you’ll manage dinner for the kids at 5-5:30pm.
After drop off and until pick up of the little one, you’ll tidy up the areas where the kids eat, sleep and play. You will tidy the kitchen from breakfast, organise the fridge and kitchen cupboards at times and you may be asked to run some small errands such as occasional small food shop. The family have a cleaner, no deep cleaning is required. Responsibilities to include: organising playdates with other nannies, plan a weekly routine including following the school key dates, organising and sorting clothes and toys and repairing/ putting away those when needed.
Ideally you’ll have experience of caring for 2-3 children in a home setting. Someone who wants to become part of this lovely family. You’ll be tidy and well organised, be super at organising creative activities..! Happy to help manage this household and be a great cook. You’ll have a positive attitude, easy to adapt and proactive.
You will need to have excellent checkable references, be physically fit, will be a non-smoker, have a happy disposition, honest and kind. You will need to have a current enhanced DBS certificate, paediatric first aid and at least 5 years solid childcare / nanny experience with toddlers and school aged children.
