I am an enthusiastic person who believes every child can thrive if given the right opportunity and skills. I enjoy the progress each individual child makes and the positive relationships I have enjoyed with the children I have worked with over the years. I have a daughter aged 11, she is very good with other children and is a polite and a happy girl.
I have been registered since 2020. I have always wanted to be a childminder as I enjoy using my own creativie ideas and enjoy being able to create a unique environment which is tailored to each child that attends my setting.
I have a child-centred approach and always put the children's needs first, I work closely with each parent to ensure each child is thriving and reaching their full potential.
The parents report their children are always eager and happy to attend my daycare setting!
My Experience
I am a registered childminder in Haringey.
I worked as a HLTA with SEN children and non-SEN children in a mainstream environment. I have over 10 years experience with children from birth to 11 with and without additional needs.
I have been a nanny to many different children which involved working in the children's home.
My Qualifications
I have a qualification in level 3 childcare but worked as a HLTA in a primary school which is level 4.

Lydia looked after my baby from when she was 3 months old. It was hard for me to have someone else care for my baby when she was so young but Lydia was amazing with her. I saw my daughter make excellent progress with her development and routines due to the consistent and varied stimulation Lydia provided. As a first time mum, she offered a lot of support and offered me excellent advice when I asked for it, which really helped me. What is most evident is Lydia's care and passion for children as she always wants to make sure parents and the children are happy. She is always very flexible when required. She always kept me updated throughout the day about how my daughter was doing which made me feel at ease. My daughter honestly thrived in her care and if we hadn't moved far away from where Lydia is, she would still be caring for my daughter now.

Lydia has been looking after my two children who are both 5 and 8 during the school holidays. I couldn’t ask for a better childminder, Lydia provides high quality care each time my children attend. Providing fun, stimulating and educational activities both indoors and outdoors with consistency. She is very well organised ensuring that the needs are being met for the children at all times. You can feel comfortable and trust that your children are safe and being looked after very well. My children love attending and are excited to go back each day. I would highly recommend!!

Lydia looked after my daughter from 8 weeks old full-time and also my daughter who was 4 at the time. She became family. She is incredibly trustworthy. She played a fundamental role in the development of my daughter. I never had to worry or think about if the kids were ok when she was with them. She was incredibly flexible and understanding.
The kids missed her when we would go away for breaks and always wanted to go back. She is great with entertaining and educating kids, spends a lot of time with them indoors and outdoors. Documents everything. Keeps you up to date! Has a great deal of patience.
I would highly recommend Lydia to anyone who needs support for a new born, toddler or an older kid. I have never had one single complaint, she is very tidy, makes yummy meals and cares for each child as if they were her own.

Lydia took care of my 7 months old daughter . I am very happy with her work,she tries to understand the child’s need and adapt her work based on it,reducing mumus concerns.She is so kind and sweet with children .This was my first time i left my daughter with someone else and she was so happy staying and playing with Lydia.I would highly recommend her.
