About Me

My provision is known as Periwinkle Childcare based in Springfield, Chelmsford, offering childminding services, before and afterschool care as well as babysitting services to children from birth onwards in accordance with the EYFS ratio requirements.

With a designated area for childcare, Periwinkle childcare, offers a safe, secure and stimulating homely learning environment in a home-based childcare setting that aims to work in partnership with parents to provide a quality childcare service that allows children to learn from first hand experiences.

Having worked in both nursery and childminding settings for many years, I incorporate the learning techniques, activities and programmes as well as structure and routine from a nursery setting whilst infusing that home away from home feeling in a warm and welcoming environment and in small group offering more of a one-to-one care from a childminding setting giving each child the best from both worlds.

I am an experienced childcare provider with an Enhanced Ofsted DBS, a Home-Based Childcare Level 3 qualification, a Safeguarding Children qualification, a Delivering the EYFS certificate and a Paediatric First Aid Certified. I have always been passionate about childcare and having worked at childcare settings always found it thrilling, fun and rewarding in the sense that you watch each child grow and develop uniquely. I am also a mother of two children. My oldest is a 7 year old boy and my youngest is a 4 year old girl. My children are friendly and loving and enjoy having other children to play, laugh and grow with.

At Periwinkle Childcare, we are a family, each child is treated as I would my own.
