About Me
I am a wife, and mother to our three children who are aged 27, 25 and 20 years. My two eldest have graduated from university and are living and working in London and Cornwall. My youngest is currently still living at home and studying with The Open University. I love working with children and have an ongoing interest in child development, child psychology and mental health and wellbeing. In addition to working at a local primary school, I am studying towards BA (Hons) Childhood and Youth Studies with the Open University.
My Experience
I qualified as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant over ten years ago, and have had considerable experience in Early Years (FS), Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This has involved working on a 1:1 basis, in small groups and whole class situations. I also have experience of working with children who have SEN.
My Qualifications
I hold a NVQ Teaching Assistant qualification and I also have Higher Level Teaching Assistant Status (HLTA). I have recently completed training in paediatric first aid, and I am also a Youth Mental Health First Aider.
My Availability
I am unable to be available during the mornings in term time, but would consider this in school holidays. Contact me for specific queries.
