About Me
I am a lively, enthusiastic, friendly and outgoing individual with lot of experiences with children. My mum is one of 8 siblings, therefore I have grown up with lots of cousins of all ages. I have a Bsc in Computing from Bath University. Through my experiences with children and working within a school environment, I am very patient and able to tend to any needs that they may have and have excellent maternal skills which help me look after children even more. My Experience
I have previously worked at Leicester High School for Girls as a before and after school care assistant and volunteering after school for a science club. As a before school care assistant I worked in the Junior school with girls from reception up to year 5, I ensured that each girl could have breakfast should they want it and have had none at home beforehand. I also made sure that there was an activity that the girls could partake in whether this be colouring, playing games, yoga or reading practice. My aim was to ensure each girl had a pleasant start to their school day. As an after school care assistant my role was supervising girls from year 6 to year 11 who were staying until 6pm after school until their parent or guardian was able to pick them up. My roles included helping the girls with their problems whether this be personal problems or homework problems, playing with the girls on games they may want me to join in with. I wanted to ensure that help with their homework issues was as enjoyable as I could make it as many of them did not find homework very enjoyable. I have a DBS check from my time working at Leicester High School for Girls and am happy to show this to you as requested.
As I have a brother who has severe learning difficulties and is partially sighted I am also experienced in working with children who have special needs and understand that more care and support is needed to look after them in comparison to children who may no possess these difficulties however I am more than happy to assist with this also.
My Qualifications
I have 8 GCSE's, 3 A level qualifications and have a computing degree from Bath University. I have worked with children throughout my school life and am passionate about continuing this in the future.
