About Me
Bloom in Nature Balham is a family run childminding setting managed by three mums. We wanted to create a home from home environment with a calm natural inspired setting promoting free flow and high-quality childcare. As parents ourselves we struggled to find anything that met our needs and expectations so decided to take on the aspiring journey opening our own childcare facility with the core values and high standards at our heart. We hold outstanding references and all safeguarding knowledge to run this amazing service!
This service is run in the home of Jannine and consists of a large playroom and a lovely garden setting. Our aim is to have a happy and safe environment where children from all cultures and abilities can build their confidence through participating in daily activities and to explore their talents and interests as an individual. They will learn to use their initiative, solve problems, learn about and respect their environment and have lots of fun!
At Bloom in Nature children will have the very best experiences and their days will be filled with fun, creativity, love and learning. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage and also use an online platform called ‘Blossom’ to record and track each child’s tailored learning experience.
Good nutrition is very important to us, so all meals provided are home cooked and packed with all the nutrients children need to stay energised and happy all day.
We really enjoy working in childcare and found our experiences entirely rewarding. We always put in 100% effort at all times and look forward to making it enjoyable and interactive for the children every day.
My Experience
We have been childminding for nearly 10 years and our current OFSTED rating is ‘Good’ rating. Between us we have a Level 3 Childcare qualification, Maternity Nursing qualification and Psychology degree.

We hold Level 3 and 2 childcare qualifications, Safeguarding, Food health and safety and paediatric first aid.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Childminding from £9.00 per hour
£90 a day and fees are flexible. We accept funding from 9 months old, childcare vouchers, tax free childcare and most government funding.

Our two children (aged 2.5 and 1) started with Jannine in Balham and settled in immediately. They love it! Jannine is incredibly welcoming and clearly cares for all the children she looks after. For us, we are so pleased with how much time they spend outside, how flexible Jannine is (term time only, flexible pick up/drop off times) and how much socialising they get. There are more children than at a typical childminder (Jannine had extra pairs of hands to help!) but this is brilliant for us as it means the cosiness and family feel of a childminder but with the benefit of socialising that you get at a nursery. Jannine gives the children lots of opportunities to learn new things and my children come back full of songs they have learnt, numbers/counting, activities (making jam, caterpillar eggs/butterflies, teddy bears picnic trip to the park to name a few!) and are excited to see her each day.

As a first time mother I was quite sceptical about and particular about where and who my child will be spending her time away from me with. Bloom in nature not only provided reassurance but they go above and beyond to ensure your child has the best experience, my daughter started at 15months and has been going for over a year now. She has learnt so much, from social skills to self confidence to learning more than just her ABCs. Her settling in period took longer than contracted but they provided her with the comfort she needed, she runs off as soon as the door is open now!
They aren’t like any other childminder. They’re well priced and your child is guaranteed to learn just as much, get all the nutritious meals and have all the fun they need right here.
I’d highly recommend!

Bloom in nature is an amazing, fun and warm setting. Jannine has helped our little girl grow in confidence, make friends and has looked after her perfectly. We are so happy we found this place & recommend it.
