About Us

Private day nursery- Ofsted rated ‘good’ in all areas July 2021.

We are a team of passionate, caring and driven individuals looking to make a real impact on the lives of all children in our care.

We are located on Tong street, just off Dudley hill roundabout. Entrance via Law street just off Rook lane.

We offer funded places for eligible children aged between 2-4 years old. Care & early education all year around for children aged between 0-5 years. Holiday and wrap around care for children aged 5-11 years.

Since February 2019 we have been striving to make as many positive changes to the setting as we can, Covid meant we had to take a step back but now we are powering forward and working hard to realise our vision.

Changes include setting up a new outdoor area to the back of the nursery, starting a big kids club (before & after school & holiday care), bringing in all new resources, toys, equipment, staff and more.

We have taken on a new approach to childcare and learning and everyday we work towards creating a natural, heuristic and homely environment for children to really thrive, develop and meet their full potential. We are exploring open ended and loose parts play and encouraging children to use their imagination and be the leaders in their own play and learning.

All these new changes are possible thanks to the fantastic staff team we have in nursery who are devoted and enthusiastic about supporting the children and creating a warm, welcoming and positive atmosphere.

We currently have 15 staff who have many qualifications and years of experience to enable them to be effective practitioners. Qualifications include...

1 x BA (hons) degree in psychology and educational studies (level 6)
2 x level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services
3 x NVQ 4 Children & Young People’s Advanced Practice
10 x NVQ 3 childcare, learning & development
2 x NVQ 3 in leadership and management

We also have...
2 x practitioners working towards NVQ level 4 in childcare,
2 x practitioners working towards their level 5
1 x practitioner working towards their BA (hons) degree in child psychology.

14 staff members have first aid training and all 15 have safeguarding and food hygiene training, hold up to date DBS checks as well as a variety of training for example- SENDCO, speech & language, safer sleep for babies, risk assessment, autism awareness and many more.

The owner was a childminder for many years and so her vision for the nursery is to create a home from home in nursery where children feel loved, valued and supported.

We have an on-site experienced cook who prepares fresh meals daily from a varied, healthy and scrumptious 4 weekly rotating menu (which is changed twice a year). Children are encouraged weekly to help in the preparation of their meals- this is enjoyed thoroughly!

All nurseries, e.g. private day nurseries or school nurseries, are required to deliver the same EYFS (early years foundation stage) curriculum to the same high standard. We teach children through play and well thought out planned activities to help children reach their full potential but also have lots of fun along the way!
