About Me

I am a mature nanny, have been living in London for 11 years.
I have a passion for looking after very young children, I love to watch them developing and learning day by day. I love the thought that I can be part of this fascinating process and that I can actually teach them something.
I have always been told I am a sweet and calm person, who can pass on these feelings to the children I look after, and I love playing with them and taking care of them just as if they were my own. Safety is my top priority when looking after little ones, but I also love cuddles, nursery rhymes, walks to the park, and I generally let them express themselves freely.
I can discipline and be firm too, when necessary.
In my spare time I enjoy going to see theatre and musical shows, I love sightseeing and travelling – when I can.
Family has a great value to me, and I believe that time spent with your loved ones is precious and therefore to treasure.

My Experience

I have 10+ years of experience working with children, mainly 0-4 years old, as a sole charge or shared care, I hold a Level 3 OCN Postnatal and Infant Care Education (PAICE - Maternity Practitioner) qualification.
I worked as a live in and live out nanny, in permanent as well as temporary roles.

I am now working as a part time nanny (3 days/week) with a wonderful little boy who was only 3 m-o when I started (born March 2023); I am working with a little girls same age the other two days but that job will probably end around June - hence I am on the hunt for a new part time position.
From September 2022 till May 2023 I have been working as self-employed nanny/childcarer with private families and with nurseries for emergency covers and very short temp positions.
Before a temporary position from May-June 2023 with a lovely little girl who was 18 m-o, until July 2022 I was as an afternoon nanny in Fulham - Sands End, for a family I had worked with before as live out full time nanny of three boys, shared care with mum. The boys were, at the start of the first “run” with them - in November 2019, 5 y-o (has special needs), 3 y-o, and a baby born in December 2019. This was a temporary position until April 2020.
Previous position ended at the beginning of December 2021. It was a live out temporary role, looking after an adorable 6 m-old little girl (at the start - she was 11 m-o when the job finished).
Going backwards, previous role was as a live-in nanny of two children (G3 and B1) and it ended in July 2021.
During the months of October/November 2019 I worked briefly as a weekend nanny with a 3 y-o little girl in Kensal Rise, it was a brief role, while mum was recovering from an illness.
Before I worked as a nanny of a little girl who was 2 y-o when I started; previously I worked for two years in Wandsworth Common with a family with a little boy who was nearly 1 y-o when I started, and his little sister from birth, she was 1 y-o when I left, before that I worked in Clapham South with a family with 4 children, now aged 14 y-o, 12 y-o, and 9 y-o twins, I looked after the twins since they were 4 weeks old. Mix of sole and shared care.
Going backwards, I worked as an au pair in Surrey with a family with older children.

In all my positions I used to perform nursery duties such as: ensuring children’s safety at all times, dressing/changing them, cooking for the children and feeding them, ensuring food/nappies/arts&crafts supplies were maintained always stocked, bottle feeding and sterilising, bath and bedtime routine, tidying up after myself and the children, taking them out to various activities/plagroups/playgrounds, drop off/pick up to/from nursery or school, putting down for naps, arranging playdates and age appropriate activities, developing language skills through reading/singing/nursery rhymes and games, encouraging physical development/crawling/rolling/sitting up/walking, making sure laundry was taken care of regularly.

My Qualifications

I have a DBS on the Update Service, a Paediatric First Aid certificate, and I own a OCN Level 3 Postnatal and Infant Care Education (PAICE - Maternity Practitioner) qualification.
