My name is Gabriela. I am 23 years old, with over 6 years of experience in childcare. I am half Spanish and half Venezuelan. I have been living in London since I was 17 and I speak fluent English.
I am a reliable, hard-working, and friendly person who loves art and all-around creative things. I studied at an art school and played violin for over 8 years.
With all the families and children I have worked with, I realised how passionate I am about this job, being able to play and have fun with kids while seeing them grow and develop as individuals has always been the biggest reward I could ask for.
I am very patient and caring, which makes me able to handle children's moods and behaviours. My creative and positive personality allows me to build a friendly and enriching environment for children.
My Experience
I have experience working with kids aged from 9 months up to 16 years old and have taken different roles, both in nursery and home based.
I previously worked in a Nursery, as an Early Years Assistant (February 2020-July 2021), I worked in preschool and toddler room, occasionally assisting in the baby room. Some of my duties included: providing a safe childcare environment, organising daily activities maintaining a fun and educational environment following the children's interests, preparation of healthy snacks and follow allergies and dietary requirements, supporting children with potty training, nappy changing, assisting personal hygiene routines, teaching basic Spanish vocabulary such as numbers, colours and animals, plan activities outdoor to support the child's physical development.
I've worked for two different families as an au pair. My first family (September 2018-July 2019) required me to work closely with 2 girls aged 6 and 12, and with the second one (September 2019-July 2020), I looked after an 8-year-old boy and his little sister, aged 2.
I've also worked for three different families as a nanny. The first (October 2021-August 2022), had 2 boys (3 and 7 yo). The second (September 2022-June 2023), were 3 kids (2 girls aged 4 and 5 and an 8yo boy). And the third family (September 2023-August 2024), had one boy and one girl (8 and 4 yo).
Overall duties working as a nanny and au pair included: caring for the children's safety and well-being, providing a safe environment for them to thrive and grow, running school drop-offs and pick-ups, taking them to after-school clubs and activities, supervising homework, assisting with potty training, planning and preparing a balanced and healthy menu for the week, arranging playdates, organising days out for school holidays, assisting with bath and bedtime, etc.

- Supporting Staff Well-being in the Early Years Workforce
- Spanish Baccalaureate of the Arts (A Level equivalent)
My Availability
Available for both full-time and part-time starting September 2024, preferably noon to evening Monday to Friday but can be flexible. Ideally looking for at least 30 hours a week. Occasional babysittings are also available.
