My Experience
I have a history in healthcare, working with children and adults with disabilities and additional needs. I also have experience working in community groups, offering care, summer camps and holiday clubs to 2-11 year olds. I was a volunteer community youth worker, working with young people aged 11-20, leading youth groups and discussion groups. I have experience in running toddler groups and co-leading baby singing classes.
Being a creative person, I see the value of music, movement and arts in childhood development.
I was the coordinator for Adoption UK - East Lothian Community Group which is a group geared around parenting support, once per month I organise a weekend activity for the children to come along to.
I have a son who is home educated so I am available evenings and weekends.
I am attachment aware, with a full disclosure and a CPD Diploma in Playwork.
My Qualifications
My experience is very hands on, however I do have qualifications in Playwork, Healthcare, Health & Nutrition, Counselling, Coaching, Mentoring and CBT.
My Availability
I am looking for part time hours to fit around my own family life, but I am flexible with when these hours are worked.
