My name is Fiona and I am a recent postgraduate from the University of Edinburgh. I am originally from the US but have lived in Edinburgh since 2018. I have recently began my professional career in the public arts and heritage sector x2 days a week and a looking to offer my babysitting services for the remainder of the week!
A bit more about me: I am 23 years old and stay in the EH4 area with my partner and our golden retriever. I am very passionate about the arts and music, and am a former competitive dancer. I am a fluent German speaker, love to travel and am currently training for the 2024 Chicago Marathon as part of a charity team!
I have extensive childcare experience and have always loved working with children and young people. I would love to speak more with you about your specific childcare needs to see if we would be a good match!
My Experience
I worked as a camp counselor in between summers while I was in high school. My age group was 4-7 year olds, and my tasks would include organizing pick up and drop off, preparing snacks, planning day time activities, and more! I also was the Vice President of an organization called Best Buddies, which pairs students and individuals with intellectual/physical disabilities together
My experience with the organization exposed me to a wide range of individuals with varying needs. I worked with students between the ages of 10-17. I also was a coach for special olympics, and have babysat in my local community back home and for a family in Edinburgh.
I worked for over a year as a nursery assistant here in Edinburgh, which allowed me to further develop my childcare skills and to focus on educational and creative initiatives that benefited the children’s development (ages 6 months - 5 years).

My Availability
From the start of April I will beginning a new job with an Edinburgh art gallery two days a week. I currently am available Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays, as well as occasional weekends. I am looking to begin babysitting from the end of April onwards

My Fees
- Babysitting from £14.00 per hour
My fee is £13 an hour, however I am happy to speak with you about rates and what you are comfortable paying.
