My Experience

Growing up with a sister seven years younger than me gave me a lot of experience in looking after children as I cared and played with her when she was little and continued to throughout her life. Moreover, I have been a nanny for two families and have a great deal of experience babysitting in between. Between 2014-2016 I was a nanny for a boy (who was 8 when I started) over two summer holidays. He was very interested in nature and animals, and during this time we had lots of fun doing activities such as going to art galleries and museums.

I have worked as a nanny full-time from 2019-2021. From September 2019 until March 2020 I worked as a nanny and cleaner full time for a family with 2 sons, aged 4 and 7. This job had a lot of responsibility; I was in charge of the younger child all day, cooking and cleaning for the family, organising play dates, haircuts and taking them swimming. When the older child was at school I would take the younger child for fun days out to places such as the Tate Modern, the RA and the transport museum, I would always choose art exhibitions that were child-friendly and interactive and we would have lots of fun together. Another responsibility of mine was caring for the older child who had some anger issues, I worked very closely with his parents to help him deal with his frustrations and ensure his safety in the house. I also worked as a housekeeper/ cleaner for the family where my role included doing the washing, cleaning the bathroom and kitchen, cooking and ensuring the flat was tidy.

Previously I was an after-school nanny, Monday to Wednesday, since April for an 11 year old girl and a 13 year old boy. My duties involve picking up the girl from School, cooking the family dinner and some general housekeeping. Over the holidays I also work full days, where we did activities such as going swimming and making short films!

I find nannying an incredibly rewarding job, I love building a relationship with the children I look after and having fun with them. Although my nannying experience is mainly with slightly older children, I also have childcare experience looking after younger children (ages 4 upwards).

My Availability

I am looking for between 9-12 hours a week and am available all weekdays.

• Nannying from £16.00 per hour (gross)
• Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
