My Summary

My Experience

I was a paediatric nurse for 5 years (3 training, 2 full-time) and have ample experience working with unwell children from neonates to 19 year olds, of ranging abilities, ethnicities, and mental health conditions. I was a part-time nanny to a 4-5 year old for 1.5 years and absolutely loved my experience. I was responsible for school mornings and after school, food, toileting & hygiene, packing bags and packed lunch, walking to school and locking up behind me. Also responsible for after school pick-up, clubs and classes, dinner and bedtime routine. In holidays I worked full days taking them outside, doing activities, and creative tasks. I particularly like working with children from 5 years old upwards, and love to have all sorts of conversations. Since then, I have also been a nanny to two girls aged 10-11, and 13-14 within one family, and a 9 mo-1yr and 3-4 year old of another family (6 months for each) where my role was school pick-up, making dinner, laundry, helping with homework and generally being a 'big sister' type role. I adored this time in my life, and only left these posts due to personal family circumstances.

My Qualifications

I have 11 A levels, a degree in French & Italian (2:1) from Cardiff University, as well as my degree in Children's Nursing from Swansea University (1:1). I am currently studying a MSc in Art Psychotherapy in QMU.

• Nannying from £14.00 per hour (gross)
• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

I am currently in university/placement Mon-Thurs until the end of April, but will be free for the summer (until mid August). Next academic year I will be in university/placement for 3 days of the week (yet to be confirmed).
