About Me
Hi my name is jade I am 37 years of age and I am a ofsted registered childminder from Thornton.
I live at home with my husband who I’ve been with for 20 years. We have owned our family home for 15 years. We have a 8 year old son George and a daughter poppy who is 4 years old.
I decided to go into childminding to spend more time with my children. I have been a manager for the past 12 years and decided I would like to enjoy my time with my children and have the opportunity to look after others.
I will be offering before and after school care for Thornton primary school, 15 & 30 hour Early education places for 2 year olds and 3-4 year olds and half or full day care.
I have a designated play room in my
House which will help with child led and adult led play to help your child develop. I have a secure back garden that no one can access or see into so the children can play freely and be safe at all times.
I plan to take the children to local toddler sessions, Thornton library, parks, soft play area and general days out to farm or nature walks.
I will be using a system called baby days where I can record your child’s development and upload pictures and daily diaries so you are always updated about your child, you will have your own login to access this.
My Experience
I have plenty experience with children, I have 8 nephews and nieces that range from age 1-9. I am also mum to two children.
My Qualifications
I have done the introduction to childminding course, paediatric first aid and first aid at work. I am EYFS trained, which means I do regular assessments and activities for 0-5 year olds. I have safeguarding training and passed a short course for channel general awareness and female genital mutilation. I have also got 16 years food safety.
My Availability
I am available 7am until 5:30pm mon to Thurs and 4:30 Fri. If you need hours out of these times please ask and we may be able to come to some other arrangements.
I will be available 47 weeks out of the year. I will let you know in good time when these holidays will take place. My setting is closed all bank holidays.
