Hello my name is Electra. I am looking for childcare work on Fridays at the moment and evening babysitting :)
I was born and raised in London and I'm a professional nanny and experienced primary school teacher. I have nannied for several years, most recently for a family with a two girls, one who was 10 months when I started and a 2 (now 3) year old girl and a family with boys aged 7 and 9. I have childcare experience with babies through to teens, and have extensive training in child development and primary education. I also have experience as a holiday nanny both abroad and in London.
I’m an Oxford uni Fine Art graduate and I currently studying a part time Masters in Art Therapy. I am a responsible, kind, creative, caring, hardworking, reliable, friendly person with a can-do attitude and a genuine love of working with children. I have excellent verbal and written communication skills and I always aim to provide a nurturing, safe and stimulating environment for all ages to develop and thrive.
I have great references and an up to date enhanced DBS.
My Experience
Since graduating in 2017 from Oxford Uni, I have been working with children for most of my professional career both as a nanny and within school settings in different areas of London.
I was a Year 1 Class Teacher and Art Specialist at the Mulberry House School, a pre-preparatory school for 3-7 year olds. There, I planned and delivered a range of lessons following the KS1-KS2 curriculum framework, preparing them for 7+ assessments. I was lucky to work in a fairly small school, and therefore was privileged to get to know each and every child individually, across the different year groups.
I also worked for a year as a Teaching Assistant at St Dunstan’s School, supporting learning from Nursery to Year 6 but spent a large majority of time working in the Nursery there which I really enjoyed.
In amongst teaching, I have been a sole care nanny for 4 families over the years (age ranges between 16 months - 14 years old).
I have also worked as a teacher in a few summer schools over the years teaching English and Art and running my own classes.
I am a firm believer in maintaining clear, open dialogue with parents/caregivers in order to achieve the best emotional and educational development of every child in my care.

My Availability
I am now looking for childcare work 1 day a week on Fridays, and for weekend / evening babysitting. I can also help 1-3 days over school holidays.
