My Experience
Working with children from 18 months to 7 years, and 8–11 years, as a nanny, my responsibilities included afterschool care such as picking them up from school, preparing snacks, and accompanying them to activities like swimming, martial arts, English classes, and arts and crafts. During longer shifts, I helped with their sleep routine and read them stories. I also supported babies from 18 months using Montessori-based activities to encourage independence and sensory learning. I did engaging activities such as games, crafts, board games, and puzzles. Some days we went to the park, and I also supervised playdates.
Overall, my role went beyond basic supervision, creating a stimulating environment that supported the children's development. I also prepared simple dinners at the end of my shift. I enjoy playing sports or creative games, doing puzzles, crafts, and painting. I speak Spanish, and in my previous job, I communicated with the children in Spanish.
