About Me
I am a OFSTED Registered childminder based in Mitcham, I am a mother of two wonderful boys. My journey to childcare began in 2009 when I started my first role in a nursery as a nursery nurse. Over the years I have worked my way through the ranks, becoming a Room Leader, Deputy Manager, Safeguarding Officer and the on-site SENCO.
I have also worked alongside OFSTED, local agencies, early years specialist services and other organisations, as well as having over 5 year's experience working with children with additional needs.
In January 2019 I left my job to spend more time with my children and start my new venture as a childminder. I am open from 8am till 6pm and I also offer early starts from 7:30am at an additional cost. I accept 15 and 30 hours funding for the children.
I provide focused activities twice a day which are linked into the child’s next steps. The daily set up is based on the children’s choice so they choose what to play/explore with throughout the day. I offer parent & partnership days where parents/guardians can come in and do some activities with their child. I also do home learning packs, so the children and parents can do activities at home.
I have a large garden that is full of resources linked with the EYFS ages from 3months to 10 years old. Local excursions will include trips to the local children centre’s, Dean City Farm, parks, forest walks, Morden Hall Park, visiting different stores and soft play centre’s. We will try and get out twice a week. The children will also learn Makaton signs throughout the day.
My Experience
In 2009 I started my first job in a nursery as a nursery practitioner which allowed me to learn more about children and their abilities. This has helped me to plan and organise fun and educational activities, and has helped me to understand the importance of working in partnership with the parents and children. I completed my level 3 in childcare through Future Works, which is a childcare company. I quickly became a room leader and within months progressed to room manager. This allowed me to do supervisions, be a SENCO, show rounds for parents around the nursery, being a mentor for the staff, interviewing new members of staff and checking folders to make sure they are linked within the EYFS. In 2015 I got the opportunity to become a deputy manager whilst maintain my responsibilities as a room manager. I was also completing my level 3 in management. In 2019 I left the nursery, I felt like I have the knowledge and experience to take the leap in owning my own childcare business. I asked myself “If not now then when?” I have learnt to provide a high standard of care & education. I have worked alongside OFSTED, local agencies, Early Years specialist services and other organisations. I also have over 5 years’ experience in working with children with additional needs.

My Availability
Monday to Thursday I am open from 8am till 6pm, on Fridays I'm open from 8am till 2pm.
I also an Early start at a additional charge.
Half days are available from 8am till 1pm 9am till 2pm or 12pm till 5pm.

Felisha took care of my two children during the summer holiday. They had such s fun time with her - they walked in parks and did so many different activities every day. I always get daily regular updates and photos. Children absolutely love her, now they think of her more as a friend than as a childminder. I highly recommend Felisha to everyone who is looking for a childminder, because she is just fantastic - professional, lovely and friendly! Thanks Felisha!

I'm very impressed by the lovely warm, caring and fun environment at Early Nurture. My son attends in the holidays and there are so much activities and toys to keep the children occupied, and they are able to choose what they are allowed to play with, this has really helped my son with his confidence. He never gets board and he has made some good friends .
In lock down I was very worried about my child's education and I was stressing on how I can keep my very active child entertained but Felisha has kept contact with us and has provided Home Learning Packs which has a variety of fun learning activities and creative craft to his interest.
I cant thank you enough Felisha :-)
