About Me
My name is Lauren, I am 38 years old, married with one child who is 9 years old and I am a GOOD rated Ofsted registered childminder based in Sunbury -on - Thames.
I have been childminding since 2019 and absolutely love my job. We have a loving, friendly family home which includes a large garden with lots of children’s outdoor toys such as a playhouse, swing, slide and see saw.
We have 1 very friendly dog (a spaniel) who is very affectionate and loves people especially my daughter, 1 cat who again is very affectionate but tends to be out most of the day and 2 rabbits who are very friendly and like to be handled.
We have a healthy diet at home with home cooked meals the majority of the time. We eat all our meals at the table as a family and family time is very important to us.
As mentioned above we really enjoy family time and at weekends we try to spend as much time doing fun activities together, whether this be going to the park for a picnic, spending time in the garden or a day out at a soft play or theme park. Spending time outside and taking in different experiences is something I would encourage for the children in my care. Whether this be trips to the local park, learning about animals at the farm, fruit picking or simply experiencing the sights and sounds of the back garden and around the home.
I follow the EYFS and I use this for my curriculum when doing my themes, activities and days out.

My Experience
My experience comes from raising and caring for my 9 year old daughter as well as numerous years of looking after my nieces and nephews in a loving family environment. Also my years of childminding. I have always been passionate about working with children and have found this the perfect career to achieve my ambitions. Having my daughter changed my perspective and priorities and finally gave me the push to move into a career which I find really rewarding and inspiring.

My Fees
- Childminding from £8.50 per hour
Fees include morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack (depending on pick up time) and any trips out. Fees are calculated on a pro rata basis based on the academic year and charged monthly.

Lauren is a fabulous childminder😊
Lauren currently looks after my little boy and has done for the past 18months. He’s so happy going to Lauren’s each morning and I feel it really is a home from home experience for him, he often talks about Lauren’s family.
When my little one first started I was very anxious about him being taken out and him eating certain foods, Lauren worked with me for me to overcome my fear, offering lots of advice and taking things slowly.
Lauren does lots of different activities with the children and my son has come on leaps and bounds in the last 18 months. Would highly recommend Lauren.

Cannot recommend Lauren enough! As a first time mum I was nervous about returning to work but Lauren made myself and my daughter feel so comfortable. The settling in process was great. My daughter has now been with Lauren for more than a year and her confidence has grown so much. My daughter has also built relationships with the other children in the setting. Lauren always arranges great days out and themed weeks which allow for so many new experiences for my little one which I find fantastic! My daughter absolutely loves getting involved in all the activities. We have moved away from the area now but still travel to Lauren as we couldn’t imagine anyone we’d rather go to - my daughter loves going to Lauren’s and is so comfortable that she walks straight in everyday. I also love the daily pictures and journal entry Lauren does for the children and look forward to seeing them everyday. Easiest recommendation!

Lauren has been our childminder for 4 days a week for over a year now. She is so kind and caring and loves my daughter like she is her own, I can't fault anything Lauren does. She sends updates everyday of photos of my daughter and writes in a journal to tell me all about her day and what they have done. Lauren takes the children on days out such as sealife centre, fire station, farm, parks, music classes and stay and play centres it's an amazing feeling knowing my daughter is doing all this and spending valuable time exploring the world while I have to work. My daughter has grown so much confidence since being with Lauren and has learnt so much and developed into an amazing little 2 year old.

Lauren is the most amazing childminder. Finishing maternity leave and returning to work as a first time mum was extremely scary. However, Lauren made this process so much easier, I feel extremely fortunate
and thankful to have found her. Lauren provides daily activities as well as outings that are educational and filled with lots of fun. Lauren’s communication with us is excellent and we are provided with daily updates and pictures of our sons day which we really enjoy and appreciate. Lauren provides a loving, caring environment where I know my son is well looked after. I cannot recommend Lauren enough, she really is an absolute angel and we would be lost without her.

We are so pleased we chose Lauren to look after our son (now 18 months) - she is just fantastic! Starting childcare just before his first birthday was a big transition for our son and Lauren did so much to help him to settle in, like asking about his routines, likes and dislikes etc. Lauren provides a really excellent balance of structured activities and free play in a home-from-home environment - she sets up so many different craft and sensory activities and takes the children on all sorts of outings (e.g. to farms, aquariums, libraries, playgrounds, fruit picking, wildlife walking etc.), but the children also have plenty of opportunity to simply play at home and in the garden. Lauren is caring, fun, and clearly really passionate about her job.
We love that the children all have their own sleeping space and get fresh, healthy food every day. Lauren is great at communicating, with daily photos and summaries of activities, updates at pickup time, and termly reports. She is very aware of developmental trajectories and milestones, and chooses activities to support the children's learning in a fun environment.
Most importantly, our son has been really happy at Lauren’s! He gets very excited to go there and we're so grateful to Lauren for looking after him so well!

My daughter started with Lauren in March 2021 at the age of 15 months old and I can honestly say that from day one my daughter was happy, confident and clearly loved.
As a first time Mum returning to work, I was incredibly nervous about leaving my daughter with someone but as soon as I met Lauren, I knew it would be a transition that both myself and my daughter would be able to do with ease.
In the 8 months my daughter has been with Lauren she has grown in confidence and is a happy, bubbley little girl who simply adores Lauren and her family.
Lauren has been able to nuture and support my daughter in a way which has been far and above my expectations.
They are always having fun! Lauren provides a stimulating and enjoyable environment in her home and is happy and willingly to take the children out on regular play dates.
Home cooked meals, regular activities, messy play, outdoor space which is used daily..... the list of things Lauren does is never ending and always with a smile on her face.
I could go on and on but Lauren is just simply fantastic!

My son (now 2) started with Lauren in September (2020) just before his first birthday. I was very apprehensive about leaving him to go back to work full time. However, from day one Lauren put my mind at ease and helped make the transition for our family smooth and stress free.
Lauren truly is one of the most caring, diligent and hardworking people I have ever met. Her passion for childminding is clear to see. Everyday she ensures that the children have a wonderful activity to participate in, whether that be arts and crafts at home or a trip out. She also provides great food options and is mindful that the children have a routine.
The setting is very clean and friendly. She also has a wonderful garden, which my sons loves to play in.
Lauren is very adaptive and always tries to accommodate my son. For example, recently we have started potty training and Lauren has been both encouraging and happy to support us with this. I always feel comfortable approaching Lauren and really trust her opinion when it comes to my sons care.
I love to receive picture updates at lunchtime and to read about my sons day in his journal. Lauren is not just about the fun, she is very up to date with the key stages regarding learning and development and ensures that the children’s activities reflect this. She also provides a termly report where we get a helpful update on how our son is progressing and areas for us to work on as a family.
Importantly, Lauren is also very organised and reliable, keeping me up to date regarding when she will be on annual leave.
I honestly could write pages upon pages about how wonderful Lauren is. She has become part of our family and we could not be without her!! We will forever be grateful to Lauren.

Looking for a new childminder is difficult and can be a worrying process, however when we met Lauren and her family I knew straight away that my Son and Daughter would love it at her setting. My son is 3 and my daughter 14 and they started with Lauren in January 2020. They very quickly become very settled, Lauren is amazing and provides the best care. Lauren ensures that the children have plenty of educational activities and covers all festivals and special dates and occasions. My son loves the outdoors and Lauren provides a great outdoor space. Lauren also takes the children on outings. I love the fact that Lauren provides daily feedback in a communication book and photographs on a daily basis which as a working parent I love. Lauren also provides termly report which are great and very detailed keeping me up to date with the children's progress. All meals and snacks are provided and are love;y healthy dinners and snacks. Lauren provides my son with a bed to sleep at nap times. Lauren is very kind, caring and loving person and we all adore her. I would highly recommend Lauren, she is amazing and provides a kind, loving and safe environment for the children.

We were completely stuck during the pandemic and Lauren came to our rescue.
Our son thoroughly enjoys his time in her care and loves playing with her daughter too. She has a fantastic outside area, plays educational games, and provides healthy lunch and snacks. Her policies and procedures are thorough and up to date and I don't think there is anything she hasn't considered. I felt happy and confident leaving my son in her care from day 1.

I can't praise and recommend Lauren highly enough. Our daughter settled amazingly well with Lauren. She is attentive, calm, kind, patient and provides a warm and welcoming home. Lauren provides exciting and educational activities and experiences for our daughter (who is 22 months old). I love the home book that is sent home every night, Lauren writes down the days activities, food, nappies, sleep etc. She also sends lots of photo's everyday so we get to see what our daughter has been doing. The children have their own sleep room with clean, sturdy beds/ travel cot which for me was great as I know my daughter is having a comfortable nap. The children go on outings and explore the garden as much as possible, my only wish is that Lauren had provided care for my older children when they needed a childminder!
