About Me
My name is Vikki, i am a mother of 3 amazing children. I love reading, cooking, listening to music and traveling. I have a huge passion for languages and as well as speaking English i also speak Urhobo, Spanish, a little Polish and would love to learn Sign Language. I enjoy tutoring primary school children and provide a warm/friendly environment where all children of all ages can grow and develop safely. The well-being of the children in my care comes first.
My Experience
I have been in the childcare field for 32 years. I have worked in nurseries, primary schools and most recently before returning to childminding i worked for 6 years in a secondary school as a cover supervisor and upon my return to the childminding sector i had previously done it from 2000-2008. I have experience in teaching and learning across each sector and i am familiar with the national curriculum and the EYFS framework.
My Qualifications
BTEC First Diploma in Science in 1992, NNEB Diploma in Nursery Nursing in 1995, Bachelor of Arts in Education in 2011, AQA GCSE In Spanish in 2018, BTEC In Business in 2018.
My Availability
My availability under EYFS:
I offer full - or part-time care, and I am available Monday-Thursday only
Working hours: 08:00 am-18:00pm
Half day: 08:00-13:00 or 13:00-18:00
I don't work Fridays or on the weekend
Funding
I accept 15hrs funding only. However, funding only covers the hours set by the council; you will incur additional charges for non funded hours and will have to pay a sub for meals and payable trips. You can opt out paying for meals and provide your own.
I have 6 weeks holiday a year.
The end of October/ beginning of November is the only fixed break, of which i take 1 or two two two weeks generally. The other weeks are spread out evenly. A timetable will be emailed to you when you join my setting, and reminders of time off are also sent out. 2 weeks holiday fee is payable the remaining 4 weeks are non chargeable. Full fee is payable when parent and child go away or when child does not attend.
I am available for additional babysitting at a higher rate(see a breakdown of fees below in the fee section) , and this has to be booked in advance.
Holiday care is available for school-age children at a slightly higher rate and has to be booked in advance and is on a first-come basis
Total children under the EYFS that I can care for at any one time is 6 under the age of 8 of which only 1 can be a baby under the age of 1. Below is the breakdown of what my week and the ays currently look like. Please use the below information to guide you before contacting me, I update my availability as and when a new child begins in my care or leaves.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
- Childminding from £12.00 per hour
My fees are based on one child and is for regular childcare, additional childcare are set at slightly higher rates. Siblings get a discount. Please see below for breakdown....
Regular all year round childcare:
Hourly rate £12
Daily rate £120 (10hrs) 8-6
Half day rate £60 (5hrs) 8-1 or 1-6
Late collection of child £10 every half hour
Unsocial hours £40 per hour (This is time lapsed after settings has officially closed)
Organized out of hours care £20 per hour ( Arranged out of office care)
Retainer is only required when you wish for a space to be held to obtain at a later date, please note this fee is NON-REFUNDABLE and is charged at 50% of the monthly fee
Deposit is payable before the start date and must cover a whole term (3 months)
An invoice is generated on or around the 20th of each month
Fees must be settled by the First Monday of each month
Late payment of fees will incur a daily charge of £30
Other childcare:
Holiday care is charged at £15 per hour and must be booked in advance to secure place
Babysitting: £20 per child per hour minimum of 3hrs
15% discount for sibling care
Please note breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea are charged within the monthly fee
Parents must supply spare clothes, suitable footwear, cap and sun-cream for sunny days (nappies and wipes for babies)
Formula is provided for babies
If your child has an extreme diet plan then i ask that you provide the food

Vikki looked after my son from when he was 10 months until he was 3. During that time he flourished under her care. It became a second home to him and he developed so much confidence as a result. Vikki creates a safe environment for children with very clear boundaries. The children are well fed and even treated to freshly made juices! Daytime activities consist of well balanced activities including circle time, literacy and numeracy, messy play and plenty of outdoor play and adventures. I couldn't recommend Vikki highly enough!

Your passion, love and experience in the field is evident and your natural caring nature is a blessing and testament! Firstly, I must say, I am not one to write reviews, I just felt compelled to do so in this instance!
I'm sure as parents/carers you know, the stress that may be caused when trying to find the right childcare for your child/children. Vikki made everything so easy and straight forward you can feel the years of expertise when communicating with her. Everything is so professional and accommodating. I am so grateful we found her!
Vikki is extremely responsive and very informative right from the beginning stage, i.e. the messages to and fro here, then to the ongoing phone correspondence. After a lovely phone call where I stated my requirements, she invited myself and my daughter to her home for a viewing.
She has a lovely home with a nice garden in a beautiful area, very child safe and child friendly, with many different activities neatly stored out of the way. From paints to books to classic board games to puzzles and interactive learning, she has it all!
Vikki has a vast array of certifications from paediatric first aid to food hygiene health and safety. She is so warm, positive, with a genuine caring nature and a great sense of humour too! She has created a wonderful atmosphere for children to be nurtured in her care, not to mention the impeccable food menu which is updated weekly.
I am so glad to have found her!

Thank you so much for this amazing feedback on my service, it is truly and humbly appreciated. I thoroughly enjoy what i do and for that joy to be transcended across to parents, carers and their little ones, is all that i could ask for. I have a saying "if i cannot make parents and their most precious jewel(s) feel safe and welcomed in my place of care, then i am not only doing myself a disservice but of those parents, carers and children coming into contact with me."
