About Me
I am a very positive, caring and active person who has always loved establishing relationships with children of different ages. I have a Masters Degree from Bristol University in Educational Psychology following an Undergraduate degree in Education, and I have 10 years experience working alongside children. I am currently working as a well-being practitioner for children and young people and I am looking for a nannying role alongside this.
I have found that within my roles working with children my bubbly and enthusiastic nature has encouraged positive experiences and relationships. I believe in encouraging exploration, imagination and a sense of humour within all areas of my work. Through my experience, and education I have developed a deep understanding of child psychological and social development and the ability to incorporate creativity and innovative ideas to encourage engagement and excitement. I am extremely trust worthy, hard-working and organised, with the ability to prioritise tasks. I enjoy being creative, going to yoga and helping out on my mum's alpaca farm! I have a full clean driving license and my own car and I am looking to enhance my experience as a nanny with a friendly family.
My Experience
I've worked with children in a variety of different settings; in mainstream primary education and special needs schools, and privately as a nanny. I come from a family with a lot of children who i've helped look after, including my younger brothers and my goddaughter. I grew up on a farm so I feel very comfortable around animals and when caring for children I really enjoy incorporating the outdoors and exploration into their learning.
I have 3 years experience working in special needs schools, supporting students with complex additional needs with their learning and social development. I also worked as a nanny with a family for three years, providing care for two young children ages 3 and 7. We established a really positive bond, whilst I supported their transition into different phases of development using learning through play, engagement in nature, and creativity whilst maintaining a child centred approach and following their interests. This also involved supporting with their morning and evening routines including cooking, bath time and reading.
In my current role I work for a charity providing SEND and mental health support to children and young people with social, emotional and mental health needs, inspiring them to reach their full potential using a tailored and imaginative way of working. I believe that a thoughtful, gentle and holistic approach is the best method when working with children.

9 GCSE's A*-C
A levels - Art (B), English Literature (B), Sociology (B)
Degree - Education Studies (1st class)
MSc - The Psychology of Education (Merit)
Level 2 in counselling skills
Enhanced DBS checked
Full clean driving license and my own car with business insurance

My Availability
I have availability on Wednesdays, some evenings, adhoc weekends and for babysitting. I have more availability during the school holidays as my current role is term time only.
