About Me
I’m Tobias, and I’m passionate about helping students find their confidence and succeed in their education. I’m an experienced teacher, tutor, and homeschooling specialist based in London, and I’ve had the privilege of guiding students through their academic journeys for over 10 years.
My specialities include working with students who are out of mainstream education or preparing to re-enter, as well as helping those getting ready for entrance exams. I’ve helped countless young people navigate life through primary, secondary, and sixth form, offering not just private tuition, but also mentoring and coaching through my company, Soaring Stars Education.
One of my proudest achievements is my 100% pass rate in Maths and Science at GCSE, but what really drives me is seeing the progress my students make—whether it’s mastering a tough concept, boosting their confidence, or simply developing a love for learning. I understand that every child has their own unique strengths and challenges, so I take the time to get to know each student and create a learning plan that works for them.

My Experience
With over a decade of experience in education, I have had the privilege of working with students across a wide range of ages and abilities. I have experience with all major exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, and Eduqas, and I specialize in tutoring Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9) and GCSE students. I’m also experienced in preparing students for the 11+ entrance exams and Year 6 SATs, helping them build confidence and master key concepts to succeed.
In addition to supporting students in mainstream education, I work with a variety of learners, including those taking IGCSEs, students who are re-taking exams, and private candidates who are studying independently but still preparing for formal exams. I am also experienced in working with children with special educational needs (SEN) and learning difficulties, including Autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and Asperger’s Syndrome. I take a tailored approach to each student, ensuring that their unique needs are met with patience, understanding, and effective strategies.
In 2022, I completed my Diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) and now teach English as a Second Language (ESL). I help students prepare for exams such as IELTS and other English exams aligned with the CEFR, which are commonly required for international school admissions or university applications. I also have a working knowledge of Spanish (CEFR A2), which allows me to assist Spanish-speaking students in their English learning journey.
I’m passionate about creating a supportive and positive learning environment where every student can thrive, whether they’re preparing for exams, overcoming learning challenges, or simply looking to improve their academic skills.
