Angie and her husband David have been part of our lives for three years, since our daughter started with them at 13 months. We couldn’t be happier with our choice to send her. She has been truly cared for and nurtured, and has emerged ready for school - confident, inquisitive and independent. She has always been happy to see them and spend her day with them, and really thinks of them as family, as do we. Angie’s house is a really happy, warm and loving environment and we are so grateful for the time our daughter has been able to spend there. We will miss them very much.
In so many ways, Angie has been an extension of our own family for our nearly 5-year old son, who has been with her since age 2. Angie has always been attuned to physical, developmental, and emotional needs - a welcome thought partner in how best to support our son. The community of children at Angie's have become close, dear friends -- a great support in the transition to nursery school as a few of them went together. Angie is focused on helping the kids have fun in the present, while also preparing them for future independence. I always hear about delicious tea times at her house as well! We are truly thankful to Angie for who she is and all she does for the children.
Angie looked after our daughter from 12 months old and our she settled immediately within her setting. Angie's care is first class and she provided so much love and attention to our little daughter.
Our daughter was really well fed and tried lots of new food. Most importantly she was given a lot of love and thrived in the setting. As well as a lovely home setting Angie actively gets the children out to enjoy the beautiful natural environment nearby. This includes regular visits to Angie's allotment where the children help to grow fruit and vegetables.
Angie has provided what we consider to be a second home for our children for 7 years. Angie provides them with fun, learning activites and home cooked food within a calm and nurturing environment. My son has attended for the last 7 years, starting as a baby and developing with Angie providing thorough preparation for school. He continues at the age of 7 to enjoy his time spent with Angie, before and after school and during the holidays. My daughter, aged 2, has been attending Angie's full time since she was 5 months and loves her time there. My daughter has a language delay and Angie has worked together with the speech therapist to support her in communicating, including use of makaton. Angie's compassion and care for our children is truly outstanding.
Our two daughters both started with Angie when they were only 9 months old, and I couldn’t have hoped to find better childcare - a real home from of home for them! Angie is truly passionate about her job and offers a very safe and nurturing environment for children. She always plans interesting activities for them - from Forest School to gardening, cooking, painting. She follows themes thorough the year such to open the children to the world around them - the seasons, Chinese New Year, dinosaurs, etc. Our girls have loved growing up surrounded by other kids from different age ranges and have learnt so much from it. Another important aspect for us was the quality and diversity of the food they eat. Angie has been amazing at planning interesting menus and involving the kids as much as possible, for example picking the veg in her garden or at the market, helping with preparation or cooking their own pizzas. Her healthy food is proving very popular! We can’t recommend Angie highly enough.
