About Me
Hi, I'm Lana. I am available for private tutoring and/or childcare.
I am a bubbly, active, empathetic and nurturing person. I have worked in education for the last 5 years. The last 3 years as a full time primary school teacher. I am looking to take a short break (at least one academic year) from full time class teaching, but want to continue using my skills and working with children during this time.
I love being outside, enjoy being creative, baking and don't take myself too seriously. I am willing to help with private tutoring, give homework help, childcare or just offer some extra support where needed. I have up to date knowledge of the primary curriculum, due to my experience working as a class teacher.
I am a naturally organised and tidy person and would also be willing to help with food prep, housework, errands.
My Experience
My main experience is working in education as a primary class teacher. I have worked in both KS1 and KS2, but have taught in year 5 for the last two years. I have gained valuable experience in creating engaging and educational activities, supporting children both academically and emotionally and have worked closely with neurodiverse children. I have worked as a daytime nanny and baby sitter through childcare.co.uk as well as helping out with casual baby sitting for family friends.
My Qualifications
First Class Degree: Bachelor of Science in Psychology.
Post Graduate Certificate in Education graded distinction (primary school teacher).
4 A*-A A levels in German, Psychology, English and Media communications
I am also bilingual and can speak fluent German and English
