About Me

Hi! My name is Petra. I am a woman from Sweden, 34, but young at heart. I am very family orientated and I love children. Growing up in a small city called Halmstad in the southwest of Sweden in a big family, always surrounded by kids, I am very used to small children and babies. It comes very natural for me and have always enjoyed babysitting, taking care of young children and teaching them everything they need in order to grow and thrive.

Health is important in all ways. I think everyone feels better both mentally and physically if they exercise and find something active that they like. I currently very much enjoy Reformer Pilates and Thai boxing on my spare time. I am also a big nerd who really like to watch movies and tv-shows and enjoy combining that with skincare when I want to relax.

My sister has 2 boys; a 8 year old and a 5 year old. Harry and Hugo. Me and Harry are like best friends and I love them both most in the entire world and absolutely love just spending time with them, playing and help taking care of them! I used to see them many times a week as often as I could when I worked close by. I also have many close friends who have young children who are very close to my heart. Family is very important to me and we all hang out a lot when we are free and at home.

Before I came to London I was working on behalf of a kinder garden service in my hometown at a few different Preschools for more than over 1 and a half year. I enjoyed it a lot and learned a lot about children from the smallest ages 1- 6-year olds. It was here and while helping my sister and friends with their children that I started to get an idea about working as a Live in Nanny, getting to know and to some point also being a part of another family and getting a deeper connection with the children.!

I have had a few different nanny roles since coming to London in September 2019, (covid unfortunately affected the first jobs) mostly with three children at a time. My latest role before my current one, was a little boy of 8 months, where I stayed for two years.

Right now I am taking care of two little girls who were 3 months and 21 months old when I started with them November last year. They are now 21 months and 3,5 years old and I really have enjoyed taking care of them and watching both of them grow into their own little personalities!

I am now looking for my new live in role, ideally from september 2024, as this role then comes to a natural end.

I have recently done a lot of proxy parenting and had both of them 24/7 and full on weekends with nights too so I feel very confident in my role taking care of little ones.

I have had many different jobs trying out many different careers all from Flight attendant, working at a bakery for many years, but childcare always stayed close to my heart.

I am flexible and hardworking and I love working with and connecting with children and babies as you constantly learn new things about other little individuals and also about yourself as well during those experiences. I believe that our own personalities grow and we become the persons we are meant to be in connection to others. Children and adults likewise.
