About Me

Children are my passion. I find deep joy in holding a child’s hand as they reach a milestone, in joining them in messy, meaningful activities, and in discovering life through their eyes. My journey through motherhood and volunteer work with families of young children—and later working as a nanny—has shaped me into a calm, flexible, and empathetic professional, equipped with strong skills in active listening, communication, creativity, and thoughtful planning.

I am enthusiastic, hard-working, and caring, and my studies have deepened my understanding of early childhood development. This learning has sharpened my ability to recognise both thriving and faltering in a child’s progress and to create environments that foster confidence, curiosity, and growth.

My approach is rooted in Froebelian principles: I see each child as a unique individual and seek to understand their intentions behind every action. I believe that play is the most powerful way for children to explore, experience, and make sense of the world. My role is to facilitate that play, gently guide them with freedom and respect, and meet each child exactly where they are on their journey. My goal is to support children in building strong foundations for lifelong learning and wellbeing.

I am a passionate and experienced early years professional with a strong background in supporting young children and their families through a variety of roles, including nanny, learning support assistant, and family mentor. With over 8 years of hands-on experience, I have cared for children from birth to around age 5, including twins and children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

My approach is rooted in empathy, trust, and child-led learning, inspired by the Froebelian philosophy. I believe in fostering curiosity, connection, and independence through play, nature, and nurturing relationships. I have supported key developmental milestones—from first steps to building self-esteem and emotional regulation—and am confident in creating safe, stimulating environments that support each child’s unique growth.

In addition to my professional work, my personal journey as a mother and my time volunteering with families have further deepened my skills in emotional support, active listening, and tailored child development strategies. I bring a warm, organised, and reliable presence to every family I work with, always prioritising the child’s wellbeing and the family's needs.
