My Summary
About Me
My name is Sarah Cox I am a registered childminder, I live with my husband and 2 children of primary school age. I have looked after and worked with children most of my life and from a very early age this is all I have wanted to do. I have worked in a nursery setting and now that my children are in school I am doing childminding.
In my spare time I have run a youth group for ages 8 – 17 for over 10 years which offers a safe and fun environment on a Friday night where they can have lots of fun. When I’m not working, I help with my mother’s toddler group that offers activity’s which promote the Early years foundation.
I provide childminding from my own home. I give care and education for boys and girls, in a safe home setting. I aim to supply high quality, flexible childcare for families. I will work with parents and will respect their wishes, values and practices for the care of their child or children. I live in a terraced house. My conservatory is a playroom, but children are welcome to take toys and other items into the dining room and sitting room. I have a safe and secure Yard that children can play in all weathers. Children will always be supervised in the yard. We also have a lovely field just outside the house, which will be used for outdoor play and activities. Just around the corner (a 5-minute walk) we have a park that has a play area and a wooded area nearby providing lots of places to explore. My parents have a lovely garden 2 streets away that we can have access to and where we can watch and help the vegetables and flowers grow. Within a 2-minute walk there is church building that has large community hall and children’s playroom. I have the keys to the church and on occasions we might use this to play and also use if we are involved in large activities.
I also work with an assistant who supports during the sessions when needed.
My Experience
I have worked in a nursery for 3 years. When I worked in this role i worked with ages 0 - 11. During this time I was also a key worker monitoring children's development.
I have worked in a youth group for 10 years as a senior youth leader this is for ages 7 - 17.

Sarah is fantastic! Our son absolutely loves going and we love the regular updates of how he’s doing. We would recommend her to anyone looking for a caring and reliable childminder.
Sarah is absolutely amazing and such a kind and warm person. My little girl has been going with her since she was just under one year old and she absolutely loves her.
She provides excellent childcare and it is so comforting receiving updates and photos throughout the day. They are always doing something fun and educational and I know when she goes there on a morning I’m reassured she is going to have a great day and is in amazing hands in a safe environment. You receive really informative updates around weekly menus and topics they are covering. Me and my partner highly recommend Sarah and her setting so much so, as soon as we found out I was expecting my second child we had asked if they could attend there after my maternity leave.
I’ve had both my little girls in with Sarah since they were little and honestly she is one in a million !! My oldest leaves Sarah’s for school next month and I know she will miss her like mad. She always makes the day soo fun for the little ones and has different themes each week which my girls love. The smiles on their faces when they come out is such a nice thing to see. They also just run in on a morning without batting an eyelid :) Sarah has the kindest heart imaginable and you can tell how much she loves each and every one of her children she looks after. I can’t really put into words how amazing Sarah is and I would 100000000% recommend over and over again 🩷
Sarah provides excellent care for all of her mindees. She cared for my youngest for a short period but developed a great relationship with her. Her home environment is nurturing and educational and I would 100% recommend.
Sarah has been our childminder for a few months now since our son was 8 months old. We chose Sarah as a childminder based on her fantastic reviews and it’s true that she is absolutely incredible and our son is very well taken care of!!
From day 1 she has been amazing at meeting all of our sons needs, he is well nurtured (she even baby wears our son in a carrier as that’s what he is used to at home and cuddles him to sleep often too!) and he absolutely thrives. Each week he has just seemed to pick up so many new skills. Within the first few weeks of going to Sarah’s, all of a sudden he was playing peekaboo, waving, crawling, mark making, standing, etc. He also adores interacting with all of the children and has become so much more confident and social around anyone he now meets. Our son has come a long way so fast! Sarah has always updated us throughout the day with our sons wellbeing as well as sending us photos. He really enjoys the regular playgroups and all of the outings that Sarah has taken him on. They get up to so much fun at Sarah’s house. Sarah’s own children are brilliant too and they are so loving and enjoy playing with the children in Sarah’s care. Sarah provides a delicious range of home cooked meals too and our son is always hydrated, sun creamed up and happy. If you are currently looking for a childminder then you need not look any further as Sarah is absolutely wonderful in every way!!
