About Me
I am an Ofsted registered childminder, based in Laindon West with my husband and 2 children. Our son is 10 and our daughter is 5. I provide a home from home experience for children in my care, allowing them to feel comfortable whilst learning and developing skills through play and activities.
My Experience
I have worked in childcare for 20 years, including many years based in a large nursery as a deputy manager working with all age groups. I am also active in youth groups, including running the local Beaver Scout colony. All these skills and experiences allow me to provide fun and engaging learning activities for the children based on their age and development.
I live just around the corner to a large open space and play area, with a nature reserve also nearby. The children enjoy spending time outside exploring in the fresh air.
My Qualifications
I have a Diploma in Childcare and Education and a paediatric first aid certificate. I also have a qualification in risk assessment, food and hygiene, safe guarding and behaviour management.
My Availability
I can cater for part time and full time care. I am happy to be flexible of times of care given. I currently have a 2 day space available for an under 5.

She saved my job by looking after my 2 girls. She just appeared like an angel during a rough time. My girls are very happy with her and now she is part of our life like a family member. She is always available and very prepared. She knows what she is doing and she does it brilliantly! We are blessed!

I love to help and love being part of your family. It makes my day when the children run with open arms towards me in the morning. I look forward to the fun we are going to have over the summer and beyond.
My son has been going to Amanda on Friday's since February 2024 and he has the best time!
Amanda is welcoming and makes him feel at ease. The children all love her and are all smiles at pick up time.

You are more than welcome. He is a joy to look after, and I love to see how much he has changed already.
We’ve been with Amanda over 4 years now, she’s looked after my 1st born, from when he was around 2, right up untill school years and my youngest from around 8 months, he’s coming on for 3. Both my boys adore Amanda and so do we. She is wonderful with them. She’s very warm and kind, very hard working and tends to all the children’s needs
