My Experience

Local Babysitter from 16 years until i left for uni, helping out families on a regular basis and ranging from looking after very calm only children to a busy family of four kids, all of which I loved!

Volunteer and Rachel House Hospice CHAS in Kinross. At Rachel house, i was responsible for babysitting all the siblings of patients who were staying at the hospice. This was definitely challenging as many of the children were going through the loss of a sibling, so at times could be take out their emotions in anger.

Volunteer at NewBeguinningz Orphanage for premature babies in Johannesburg, South Africa. I volunteered here with my mother for a month and although did not deal directly with the premature babies, i was responsible for looking after all the other children who stayed there, from toddlers to early teenagers, many of whom had Foetal alcohol syndrome or suffered from traumatic and abusive childhood upbringings.

Volunteer at Riding for the Disabled Dundee, supporting children on the horses to make sure they feel supported and safe

Childcare for 3 year on a regular basis, duties involved picking up and taking the children from school, helping with home work, making dinner.

Residential Childcare worker at an all boys boarding school for additional support needs.

Seasonal Childrens Activity Leader at Gleneagles hotel. Leading the children’s activity club for junior guests.

Assistant Psychologist for children with anxiety, low mood or emotion regulation difficulties.
