About Me
Hello, I am a single mum of five and work in the ambulance service. I am heading back to work after a sabbatical and am looking for a Nanny to join our amazing family and help with the children.
The role would be a full time position, Monday to Friday, although I can consider a part time position too. There may be up to two days which will be extended days due to my shift work. However, as I will be choosing which days I work they may not fall on week days and will vary each week. I will not be needing childcare over the weekend. Some days my nanny will have sole responsibility for the three youngest but other days they would be a mothers help and extra pair of hands to me so I can have one to one time with each child. Ideally I would someone full time so I can organise one to one time with each child while they are in safe hands with the Nanny. The benefits to this are flexible working hours depending on which days I am on shift and what other plans we have. Half terms and holidays would be all day but again very flexible if needed. I don't believe in working on your birthday and try to make sure all bank holidays you are off but cant be helped if I am on shift for it.
My hours are 12 hour shifts so you would need to be flexible and include early mornings and some late nights, however I wont be doing night shifts for the next 12 months. Some days may even be a split shift for example, morning including school run and then after school until I get back to include kids bedtime.
Mornings can involve coming to me and getting the children up and ready for school and school run etc as I may have already left for work. Again during half terms and school holidays I can be flexible if needed as we dont always get up first thing!
As I work 12 hours shifts, I need help with housework and occasional meal prep. I would also need someone who is willing to take the boys out and about and plan trips etc during the holidays. Some days my current Nanny comes out for the day with us if we are going to London etc and I may need help when going on holiday too (although not every time). Benefits to you are also that when we are away you get a week off if I dont need you to come which of course I wont take out of your holiday entitlement. I may also need holiday cover here when I am travelling with friends but this is twice a year max and no more than one week.
I have most of the half terms and holidays off so these would be normal day hours so I can go on trips with the children individually.
I have a 17 year old, 13 year old with ADHD and autism but high functioning, and twin boys aged 6, and the youngest girl aged 3.5. My youngest attends pre school full time and is due to start Year R in September. My 13 year old has ADHD and ASD and although this is not as bad as it sounds I do need someone who has an understanding of behaviours and how to deal with them.
I have one cat and two cockapoos which need feeding morning and night.
It is essential that you are ofsted registered as I get help with Universal Credit, however I paid for my current Nannys registration so this can be discussed. I can do employed or self employed depending on preference.
