About Me
I would describe myself as a very chatty, fun and bubbly babysitter. I absolutely love spending time with children and feel very comfortable creating an environment that fosters creativity and fun. I have had 5 years experience and have loved every family that I have worked for.
I have a masters degree in Developmental Neuroscience at Yale University, with a focus on childhood neurological development. I try to use the theory I have learnt at Yale in my nannying technique; I am aware of the importance of childhood in the overall development of a healthy mind. I am therefore committed to doing the very best for the children and their families that I work alongside, with my focus being on the child's wellbeing as well as their personal and social development.
My Experience
I have a great deal of experience working in busy families with tight schedules. This year I have been working for a family in Bristol with two boys (age 1 and 6). This role was live in for multiple months and involved day to day sole care of both boys whilst the mum underwent chemotherapy. Before this, while living in London I worked mainly for a very busy family with three children (aged 9, 7 and 5) who had a range of after school activities. My duties included picking up each child from their respective schools, taking them to any clubs, cooking dinner, reading practice, teaching piano and putting each child to bed. I have experience caring for a child with extreme allergies, I have an up to date DBS check and I am extremely passionate about childhood development which I have a masters degree in.
My Qualifications
I have a masters degree in Developmental Neuroscience at Yale University and a first class degree in Psychology.
