About Me
Hi! I’m Chloe, I’m 24 and I study ‘Childhood: Disability, Health and Wellbeing’ at University (Ipswich). I also work part time (previously full time) as a care assistant for adults with learning disabilities in a supported living home. Being 2/3 of the way into my degree but with no direct childcare experience, I am keen to put my knowledge into practice.
Working in the sector I do, I would love to learn more about supporting children with complex needs.
My Experience
I do not have any direct childcare experience (aside from occasionally minding friends’ children). I study Childhood at University, and I work with vulnerable adults whom have learning disabilities.
My Qualifications
I am 2/3 of the way into a University degree in ‘Childhood: Disability, Health and Wellbeing’.
I am First Aid trained and regularly administer medication as part of my job, and undertake general housekeeping.
I have a Level 2 award in Social Care.
My Availability
I only work Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays - I am almost always available on Saturdays.
Unfortunately I don’t have a car so I’m ideally looking for jobs in & around Melton, but I do work in Ipswich 3x a week and public transport is my best friend so always happy to compromise per the family’s request! My partner and I are in a lovely open plan flat overlooking the River Deben - we would be more than happy to accommodate a little one on the occasional day or two but appreciate this is a big ask (& very trusting on the parent’s part) and not to be expected for an initial meeting.
