My Summary
About Me
I am friendly, fun and enthusiastic. I love children and have a massive family. I am very artistic and musical, I had an art and music scholarship into my secondary school. When looking after kids being reliable, caring and fun is what I pride myself on. Having a great relationship with the parents is also important to me, as I understand it’s difficult to trust other people with your children so I want them to feel as comfortable and trusting in me as the kids do!
I am also German speaking.
currently looking for something full time so I’m not available for after school care
My Experience
I have been a after school nanny for almost 3 years now. My first position was looking after two kids (a 2 year old girl and her 5 year old brother). My main responsibilities were after school pick ups, organising play dates, bath time and preparing dinner. During this role I learnt the importance of building a good line of communication with the parents and ensuring I’m always punctual. I worked with this family for a year and a half we sadly stopped working together because of the pandemic.
I am currently working with another family 3 days a week. I look after their 2 boys, the oldest is 4 and the youngest is 1. Two days a week I pick up the oldest from school and take him to do activities or to play with his school friends. We then go back home so I can make his dinner, after he finishes his mum usually comes home with the younger son. I then help her do bath time with the boys and whilst she puts the baby to bed I put the older boy to bed and read him stories.
I do 1 full day a week looking after the baby from 8:30am-6pm. My main responsibilities are changing nappies, making lunch, taking him to play outdoors or go to play groups.
My big sister also has 6 kids that I look after a lot of the time, having a big family has given me a lot of experience and also shows me the importance of having a strong family bond.
At the start of 2019 I also worked for a new mum with a 2 week old helping her change nappies and care for the new born after her c-section. I did this part time 5 days a week after a month we changed to 3 days a week and I helped look after the baby whilst the mother went back to work. I stopped working with her in January when her daughter turned one.

Crash course in first aid
1 year of studying health and social care before changing course to journalism
