Hello! I'm 25 years old and a very bubbly and empathetic individual. I really love helping people and enjoy working with young people. They enjoy my cheerful nature and I find their energy and excitement infectious.
I love all things handmade and crafty and have a gorgeous 3 year old labrador called Bixie (after weetabix!). I enjoy spending time outdoors in nature and going on walking/camping holidays with Bix. I love cooking, baking and surprisingly I do even enjoy cleaning!
My Experience
I spent a month working as a childminder for two children aged 6 and 9 in Sheffield. I did the morning routine, with breakfast and school drop off, as well as the afternoon pick up and care for a few hours. It was a wonderful fit but unfortunately I had to end the commitment (pre-second lockdown) due to rising concerns over covid as I have Type 1 Diabetes.
I spent two months working full time as a language assistant in a French primary school. I taught children aged 3-11 English lessons, as well as non-linguistic subjects such as Science, Maths, Art and Sport, in English.
I have plenty of experience babysitting with up to four children in my care at once. I have
work experience from an English primary school as well as outside experience in the form of time spent with friends and family with young children.
I worked as a support worker for adults with additional needs whilst at university. Since graduating from Sheffield in 2022, I have spent a year in a SEN school as a Teaching Assistant supporting young people with autism aged 10-18. I am now working as a barista whilst sorting living arrangements and employment for my move to Bristol in November.
My Qualifications
I have a valid enhanced DBS certificate.
I have been trained briefly in Mentesorri education as part of my training for working as a Language Assistant in France.
I have a valid Care Certificate and various other certified training through my position as a support worker. Training includes First Aid, CPR, Fire Saftey and Prevention, Dysphagia Awareness, Autism Awareness, GDPR and more.
