My Experience

I began my career in childcare by successfully completing a childcare apprenticeship at a nursery, where I worked for four years with children ranging from birth to 5 years old. During my time there, I served as a key worker for 11 children and gained extensive knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Additionally, I provided ad hoc babysitting services for many families at the nursery, which inspired me to pursue a career as a nanny.

After completing my apprenticeship and becoming a qualified Early Years Educator, I transitioned to part-time nannying while studying Childcare Management at university. I have since earned a degree in Childcare Management, further enhancing my understanding of best practices in early childhood care.

Nanny Experience:

For the past 11 years, I have worked as a full-time nanny, caring for children ranging from birth to 12 years old. My experience has equipped me with a deep understanding of children’s developmental needs, and I take pride in creating structured routines that align with family expectations while maintaining a high standard of health and safety. I am also skilled in planning activities that promote both developmental milestones and personal interests.

Philosophy and Approach:

I firmly believe in the importance of learning through play as a key component of children's development. I focus on providing engaging daily activities and regularly attending classes and groups to foster social skills and emotional growth. I am a strong advocate for busy, well-planned days that balance structured activities with opportunities for free play.
