About Me
I was born in Granada (Spain) and I moved to Liverpool 5 years ago . I am an active person and I love running or going for long walks. Also, I am very creative and I like fashion design and interior design. I love travelling when I have time off and exploring new places. I cook often and I like teaching Spanish traditional dishes.
My Experience
Since I finished my Degree, I have undertaken numerous roles related to education not only in Liverpool but in Spain as well. During my time in Spain, I worked with year 5 and year 2 pupils in an inclusive Catholic Primary School "Cristo de la Yedra" where I first started working with children with special educational needs. Also, I was lucky to be part of a lovely project to help teenagers at risk of exclusion as a socio-educational monitor. In 2017, I started volunteering in Primary School in year 3 and after that, I had the opportunity to work with them as a teacher assistant in year 4. Following my experience in primary school, I decided to move into a different age band and pursued a career as a Preschool teacher. Also, I have worked as a Special Education Needs and Disabilities Coordinator.
My diverse experience has provided me with invaluable insight into different teaching styles and academic approaches as well as the opportunities to work with children with autism, ADHD, high sensory needs, speech delay and attachment disorder to name a few. This has helped me to improve my existing skills and become a better and more versatile teacher by planning and adapting the lessons and activities around the needs of every student. In terms of behaviour management, I am always focused on positive reinforcement and I have developed skills that enable all students to progress in a safe environment.
