My Summary
About Me
When not working, l enjoy making & restoring furnishings, woodwork & cheaper to do it yourself. My latest venture is making lamp stands & refurbishing lampshades, attending pilates & an exercise class in the park weekly (most of the time!) I like to dance & will dance with the children as my children aren't keen any more.
My Experience
I have 2 children who are both attending University. Prior to becoming a childminder l worked as a housing manager providing support & housing management to vulnerable adults in Southwark & Lambeth. Before having my own Children l ran a vegetarian food company providing meals for photographic shoots & studios. I have been childminding for 7 years. My last inspection l received a good grade which was my 1st inspection. I provide daily feed back to parents in the form of daily diaries. In these notes l include time arriving & leaving meals provided & ingredients, whether they were eaten or not, how your child's day has been, how long they slept, what activities we did, did they enjoy & any observations l thing maybe of interest to parents & developmental milestones (Took 1st steps, said no, eaten a new food, etc.) Most of the food is home cooked, In my setting there is a great emphasis on getting out & about & seeing the world. We attend play groups, baby gym, soft play, nature groups, visit museum, children's theatre, galleries, city farms, take trips along the Thames to visit Greenwich & other places of interest. We also visit the Tate Modern on a regular basis. Activities are child led with support from me, our art activities are usually using recycled materials. I have a large safe back garden & a large spacious safe home. If you child requires any special diets I am able to provide this. A lot of our meals are vegetarian but not all.

Our children have been with Sue for nearly 7 years. She has provided outstanding care for them both. When we started, our youngest was with Sue at during the day for two years before she started school and our oldest was just starting primary.
Sue provides a wide range of creative and fun activities after school, and no day is ever the same! She provides experiences outdoors in parks and the local area, her own garden and home, and also through art and hands-on activities.
Sue's meals are well thought out, nutritious and varied, and her house is like a second home to our children.
Sue has a professional approach to safety and well-being for every child she looks after.
The children Sue looks after have fun, eat well, experience art, outdoors and culture and most of all feel very safe.
In my experience, the children that Sue looks after are always busy playing, crafting, painting, baking, dancing, singing and reading etc.. there is absolutely no tv watching here!
Sue’s house setting has a large garden with mud kitchen, covered pond and sandpit etc...as well as ample indoor space to play.
Sue also takes the children out to local parks, playgroups and attractions as well as regular bigger trips to museums, theatres etc...
