About Me
I am writing to introduce myself, Casey, a 24-year-old residing in Strood. Currently employed at a primary school looking after 4-5 year olds. I also still occasionally babysit for my old nanny job- little boy and look after 2 boys one 8month old and 4 years old every Saturday.
Looking for a full time nanny/ childminder job to go back too. I currently work in a school, but loved my job as a childminder
My Experience
Growing up as the eldest among my siblings, I gained invaluable experience in caring for children, a responsibility that deepened when, at the age of 14, my mother was diagnosed with cancer. During this challenging time, I assumed the role of a caregiver for my younger siblings when my mother needed support. Subsequently, I extended my caregiving role by looking after my cousin on weekdays from the age of 6 months until they started nursery at 3. Over three years, I dedicated time to work experience at a nursery, and I am currently blessed to have a beautiful godson whom I've cared for since he was 6 months old. Additionally, my university facilitated a two-week stint in a childcare center, where I attended to the needs of children aged 6 months to 13 years. Post-university, I had the privilege of caring for a remarkable child I met through an app, providing full-day care Monday to Friday for about a year.
I also now year Saturday look after a 6 months and a 4 year old in the morning!
Now employed in a school, I am eager to leverage my childcare skills and seeking opportunities for extra work during holidays and evenings/weekends.
My Qualifications
At sixth form I came out with two M (Merit) in both my Health and Social Care Qualification.
I have had work experience with children in nursery ages 2-5 and with some children how have learning disabilities. When working here I also have my DBS checked done. I have a degree in Early Childhood Studies and have worked it a mainstream school for 3 years. With plenty of experience with children with needs.
