Hi, I’m Jodie – a nurturing and creative childcare professional based in Newcastle upon Tyne, with a strong background in education, SEND support, and pastoral care.
I’ve worked across a wide range of Primary and Secondary Schools delivering creative and wellbeing-based workshops, as well as supporting children in both group and 1:1 settings. My Experience
I have several years experience working with children and young people across a range of settings, including mainstream schools, SEND support, and Creative Educational workshops. I currently work 1:1 with children with additional behavioural and emotional needs, building trust and consistency in their daily routines. My background also includes Teaching, Facilitation, and Mentoring, with a strong focus on emotional wellbeing, kindness, and creative development.
I’m fully DBS checked, and experienced in working with both individuals and groups. I’m passionate about creating calm, nurturing environments where children feel safe, supported, and free to be themselves.
My Qualifications
• 9 GCSEs including English Language, English Literature, Maths and Drama
• A Levels in Law, Psychology, and Drama
• BTEC Diploma in Performing Arts – Distinction
• BA (Hons) in Acting – First Class
• MA (Hons) in Advanced Theatre Practice – First Class
My Availability
I am available on Weekday Evenings from 3:30pm onwards and can offer occasional Weekend support, with flexibility based on your family’s needs.
From 18th July 2025, I will have full availability throughout the six-week School Summer Holidays, offering daytime and evening care as required.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £18.00 per hour (gross)
My rates start from £13 per hour, depending on the hours required and the individual needs of your family. I offer after-school care, evening babysitting, and full-day support during school holidays, including SEND support and creative learning. I’m always happy to discuss a rate that works fairly for both of us.
