About Me

I am a friendly, loving, sporty and creative person, DBS enchanced registered experienced in childcare and originally from Manchester, who has a degree and is looking for work within childcare. In the future, I am planning on becoming a primary school teacher, so looking after children for the next couple of years is my calling. I've had a natural fondness of caring and nurturing others since a young age. and knew I wanted to either work with children or animals when I grew up. I have childcare experience combined with the arts, and well and truly believe they go hand in hand. I feel it's important for children and their growth to be creative whether it's arts and crafts, or learning an instrument, anything that engages the mind. I also think that love and trust is crucial, ensuring a child is comfortable with someone looking after them whilst their parent/s are away. Update I am doing my PGCE course to be a teacher and I'm available for childcare and babysitting in evenings and weekends and during all hours in school holidays

My Experience

I spent a lot of my childhood staying with family friends in Putney, who had a nanny take cares of us whilst our parents were away, so I know first hand what it's like to be the child having someone besides there parents care for them. I learnt a lot from having Vicky, the nanny whom I'm still great friends with today; being kind, approachable and loving towards the children in your care is crucial for a successful relationship between the nanny and child, with feeling safe being a top priority. Another thing I learnt was the companionship, and having someone who you feel comfortable asking questions, and getting help with things such as school work and activities.

I started basic child care as a young teen, babysitting for several families, with children aged 1 years to 11. I became there regular sitters since they trusted me and found their children growing a respectful friendship with myself. This confirmed for me that I definitely wanted to have a career involving caring for children.

As I entered my late teens, I began nannying for a child since her parent was a single mother who worked long hours. I would take on all the roles of a mother, and take her out everyday with their family dog. I developed a really strong friendship with that family an we're still close to this day.

I moved to London to engage in my studies, during this time, a friend of mine's uncle reached out to me to see if I would be interested in nannying his son and daughter, who were ages 6 and 9. Him being a chef, and his wife being a midwife meant they were away a lot and throughout nights, thus I ended up being a live in nanny. I would do the school run, making sure they had a nutritious breakfast before they left, and pick them up after school. During their schooling hours I would do the house work, laundry then prepare them a substantial meal for their dinner. Cooking being something else I'm passionate about. The evenings would consist of engaging activities but also there alone time if they wanted it. I would also help them complete homework, something which I actually enjoy!

I worked in a forest nursery and nannies several families
