My Summary
About Me
Hi, I’m Danielle!
I’m a qualified primary teacher based in South Lanarkshire, currently returning to work after maternity leave. I have an 8-month-old baby girl and years of experience working with children of all ages, including those with additional support needs.
I’m available for part-time childcare, tutoring, school pick-ups, or occasional help — and I completely understand the juggle of parenting, so I aim to be as flexible and reliable as possible.
Whether you’re looking for an extra pair of hands during the day, someone nurturing and responsible to care for your little one, or a bit of educational support, I’d love to chat and see how I can help.
My Experience
I’m a fully qualified primary teacher with over 5 years’ experience working in schools across North and South Lanarkshire. I’ve taught a wide range of ages from nursery to P7 and have supported children with additional needs in both mainstream and ASN settings.
Alongside my professional background, I’m also a mum to an 8-month-old, so I understand firsthand the importance of creating a safe, calm, and nurturing environment for little ones. I’m confident with routines like feeding, nappy changes, settling for naps, and supporting development through play.
Whether it’s structured learning, fun activities, or gentle care for younger children, I bring patience, kindness, and a genuine love for working with kids.
My Qualifications
I’m a qualified primary teacher with a PGDE and full GTCS registration. Before completing my teacher training, I worked as a teaching assistant, supporting children in the classroom and 1:1, which gave me a solid foundation in child development and learning support.
I also have a TEFL qualification and spent time teaching English in Spain, where I worked with children and families in both classroom and home settings. Earlier in my career, I worked as a nanny abroad, providing full-time care for young children — a role that gave me hands-on experience with routines, play-based learning, and supporting children’s emotional and social growth.
These experiences, combined with my teaching and now being a mum myself, have shaped my calm, friendly, and adaptable approach to childcare and education.
My Availability
Currently available Monday–Thursday daytime and some evenings. Happy to discuss regular or one-off help.
