About Me
Hello parents, my name is Emily. I am a psychologist with a Masters in Psychiatry Nursing and a postgraduation in group coordination. I am a member of the British Psychological Society and development psychology is one of my favorite topics. I am living in London since 2018 and I am looking for a position where I can help children to achieve the best of their development when they are not at school. Play is an essential way to improve language and other skills. Care is also essential and I am very used to follow children’s routine, helping with bathing, feeding, sleeping. I am originally from Brazil holding an Italian citizen. I speak English (advanced), Portuguese (native) and Italian (basic). I worked as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant for nearly three years for a SEN school. Most of the children were on the spectrum. I teach Portuguese as a second language for children from 3 to 5 years old. Happy to help your kids to grow up happy and safe.
My Experience
My first background is in psychology and I also hold a Masters in Psychiatry (subject of my dissertation is domestic violence and child protection). I worked as psychologist for a Portuguese charity running psychoeducational groups and workshops. At the moment I am looking for a position as a nanny Monday to Friday. More than happy to look after children on the Spectrum as I have experience. My background in educational fields with children on the spectrum helped me to gain knowledge and skills on how to manage behavior and develop activities with this group of children.
My Qualifications
A first aid training, a certificate in Health and Safety in the early years, Bachelor in Psychology, Masters in Psychiatry Nursing, Postgraduation in Group Coordination, member of the British Psychological Society.
My Availability
